Where did the media get that shit about Michael ALWAYS wearing sequins? I have read so many comments on RUclips with people saying that he was so effeminate and "gay" because all he wore were sequins and really really flamboyant clothes. In real life when not on stage and not out and about like "Michael Jackson" he wore very very conservative clothes as you can see here. When out and about he wore that cool military stuff but it wasn't "flamboyant". It was just really really cool. I guess it is because the media wants people to think Michael is "weird", "strange" and "crazy". He isn't and he never was. Yes, "different" and "unique" because ALL geniuses are different and unique. The media -- racist and jealous.
Great performance! I especially love his rehearsals because you get to hear him speak and sometimes, he adds funny lyrics as well...He sometimes, gives instructions to his dancers and staff, singing to the tune of his lovely songs!
He looked so fucking cool in this era. Still dark skinned, hair was awesome. I was 5 years old when Bad was released, so this is the first MJ that I remember seeing on tv and in magazines. This will always be the real Michael Jackson to me.

Michael would have definitely taken us to places we've never been, seen talents like we've never seen and experienced things that we never thought we could have (as he said in the "This Is It" film). Michael himself was PURE MAGIC and he was truly not of this world!!
When you watch his rehearsals you realize he was just going through the motions of where each step was. memorizing it, but not actually doing it because it would exhaust him, and he would convserve energy for the actual concert. He already knew these dances very well, its the dancers that needed to do the dances everytime.
Michael (being the consummate perfectionist that he was) also watched himself in those rehearsal tapes so that he could find ways to which he thought he could improve himself & other styles,moves.etc,what he thought fit best & where.He was the (by far, and still is to date) the GREATEST entertainer, showman, dancer, singer, songwriter, in the world!! There will NEVER be another M.J or any1 close to being like M.J EVER, he was/is the REAL DEAL and NO ONE can TOUCH the GREATNESS of M.J!!

Since Bad was phenomenal.. Oh My God "This is it" Oh My God. Literally it would be the greatest show on earth and wow it would be the beginning of a whole new different meaning of entertainment for a second time thanks to Michael Jackson. He would take it in a whole new level, people would have mini heart attacks during the show, more faints, adrenaline in high new levels. It would be so Epic that the world wouldn't be able to realize it. The human brain wouldn't have take it.

I agree. I believe Michael could have easily pulled off those 50 concerts :) They would have been fantastic! Just by watching him rehearse for TII, it was evident that he still had it. He hadn't lost his abilities to perform.
i think that the rehearsal is more for the band and dancers than for Michael, i think that the rehearsal is to make the band and dancers memorixe all the steps and songs they are gonna play cuz michael is just there to mark the steps
He's still dark here, interesting. He goes from light to dark a lot in 87-89, different makeups and lighting I suppose? Wembley for instance, some songs he's brown, some songs he looks white. It's all in the lighting.
Gosh just when I thought he couldnt get cuter!! Even in rehearsals he's amazing to look at. :D My favorite parts: :51-:57, 2:00, 2:32-2:35, 3:34-3:37 and 3:53-4:00 oh what the heck I love all of it. lol But what I found very funny was how he says "you've been hit by" on 1:15-1:17 xD
Well, not to be Captain Buzzkill, but I think he tried harder to rehearse for This Is It because he hadn't practiced for awhile and was probably felt rusty.
See people complained that he barely moved in This Is It. It was a rehearsal and he only moved because Kenny "Fatshit" Ortega wanted the footage. He looked like he did in his 30's and he would have moved like the Dangerous and HIStory Tours. On the side note: Notice MJ speaking with a deeper voice at the end. lol even Greg Phillinganes said that he has a deeper voice in one of interview.
I thought that was crazy that they did that to MJ, Michael should have the final say in what goes on with regards to his career...50 shows was way too many shows for him at that stage in his life (getting older, more frail, less energy).
Watching Michael Jackson in rehearsals is way better than watching any other artist in full-out concert mode.
