had a 63 gold metal flake, 409 dual quads. set up for the drag strip. put it on the road for a summer. screwd up my license but it was a blast. no other car has that sound. yours is sweet.

In High School (1968) I had a '62 Impala SS 409 2X4carbs and 4spd with 411 posi. It passed everything on the road except a GAS STATION! It came stock without PS and man was that a drag!!! ;-)

I had one of these. The gas station attendant would always ask me to shut the car off so he could fill it up.

I drove one of these, probably the 340 horse, in 1965. I needed a co-signer for the loan. My dad said no, so it was no 409 for me.

I drove a red 63 Impala when my wife and I were dating. It was only 12 years old at the time. I gave it to my brother so I could buy a VEGA. Must’ve been dropping on my head when I was little.

Front hood is out of alignment .

I'd never buy a car with new undercoat , thats a red light of something they are trying to hide .

That undercoat looked real rough actually looked a little rusty underneath I’m not sure but it was bubbly and chipped.

my brother had a 64 dual quad 4 speed 425 horse factory car that was bad ass
The were two that were made by Chevrolet. One was not only a true dual quad 409 but it was a convertible, an automatic and had factory AC. I saw it for sale in autotraderclassic magazine for $125,000 dollars. The other I heard was in a Chevy museum or something like that. EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY RARE CHEVROLET AND THEY'RE WORTH A LOT OF MONEY

The 409/348 was unique in that the left bank and the right bank were 70 degrees
I used to drive a 19 56 shevy convertible. in the 50s in England I got it off a UASF guy who was going back to the states. it was a great car I ovd it. I ould pull any grls with it
..wish I had it now lol
The reason for the sound is only because of the cut off modified tailpipes. For my money I would prefer the full length tailpipes .

What are you talking about? Those chrome cross bars on the front on the fenders? Think those are stock. Or are you talking about the alignment of the chrome along the EDGE of the hood? Maybe the hood is slightly out of line. Easy to make adjustment there.

The hood lines & molding looks to be near a inch off lining up with the grill, trunk doesn't line up & is way off. Look at when he closes the trunk, its not even close. Things this obvious, I wonder what has been covered up with that thick coat of undercoating & the trunk "splatter" paint as he calls it.
I think there are issues there as well. Seeing it up close with a magnet would tell a lot.
Interior dome light did not appear to work as did the footwell lighting.

That is a 340 HP not the SHP 425 HP or the 400 HP with a 4 barrel .

Nice. Don’t know who owns it now but I’d lose the low prof. wheels and get the right moldings on the hood and fenders and possibly put the correct exhaust in there. Just saying. Love the car though.

Always Impala ss4speed I use to drive one myself back in 1970 is the first car the I drove and the learn how to drive was a 13 years old kid old the car it was my father's Impala he bought it for $ 625 cash man it was lots of money back then I remember 1 time seeing the sign gas prices said premium 20 cents one gallon and Regular 13 cents a gallon it was two brands of gas back in 1970 seems like if it was yesterday 50 years ago now I'm really old 61 my Dad 91 This summer so one of this days I'm going to get myself a 1963 Impala ss 409 450 horses with ac -4 speed my dream car ◕)ﾉ*.✧◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*.✧

I have the same car 63 SS but sadly mine is a 327 2 speed powerglide. My car is the same color and looks the same exept I have 17 inch rims. They're 5 spoke too but my bars are much thicker. I love my car but I do envy this one.

The trim around the headlights and across the front of the hood is not lined up. It looks like the headlight trim is at fault. It is too wide. It is probable not original OEM part.
Why you can't put a price on it, in the video
Good question. It's because prices can change. If we do work to the vehicle that increases the value and the price goes up, we can't note that in the video. However, if the price goes down, we can't note that either and that means someone that may be interested in the lower price could miss out. Every price is always on the web site, and always up to date!

Beautiful car that would stop on factory drum brakes, lose the big hood wheels and put normal sized disc brakes on it.

Looks great if you are driving past it, don't stop. The body guy that put the hood on missed an easy one, what else?? Undercoating is a cheap way of hiding rot, never touch one that has been "freshly undercoated". Probably a decent buy at a price but not what he is pitching for I'll bet. This car has an A/C dash but no A/C, why? It is only the 340 hp version so why take out the air?

SS should have 2 antennas, the bezels around the headlights aren't sitting horizontally leading to it not lining up to the hood trim, trunk gap fitment issues, missing rubber pad on clutch pedal.. I'm sure there's more, but I felt inclined to answer your question with a few of the more obvious flaws
