For No One by The Beatles cover

Today July 2 2024 marks the 55th Anniversary of the recording of "Her Majesty", a track that Paul Mcartney wrote and recorded while in the studio with The Beatles working on the Abbey Road album. That same day he, George and Ringo worked on about 15 takes of Golden Slumbers/The Weight. John Lennon was in the hospital recovering from a car accident from the previous day. "For No One" is a similar story in that Paul wrote and performed it mostly solo. He wrote the song while at a ski resort in the Swiss Alps on holiday with his then girlfriend Jane Asher and Mcartney recalled "I suspect it was about another argument". The working title was "Why Did It Die".
