- Gary Graffman playing Prokofiev's Piano Concerto no. 4 for the left hand, op. 53, with the Moscow Virtuosi under Vladimir Spivakov, live in Moscow in 1990. Graffman has specialised in repertoire for the left hand since injuring his right in the '70s.

I feel privileged to see this performance of Gary Graffman playing this left-hand concerto.
What a wondrous concerto and what a fantastic performance.
This concerto is up there with the 3rd Piano Concerto and it is a shame that there aren't many willing to take it on.
It's true, is even better than the 5th concerto, for me, it's a shame!

WRITTEN FOR JUST LEFT HANDED PIANISTS,,,,PROKOFIEV,RAVEL AND OTHERS WROTE CONCERTOS FOR RETURNING WAR VETS WHO HAD THEIR RIGHT ARM INJURED BADLY OR REMOVED,SO THEY HAD MUSIC TO PLAY LEFT HAND ALONE
