@@ervinslens thanks, yes Sirmione is some extra such a pitoresqe town. And the old Roman villa ruin at the end of the peninsula must have been a glorious site once upon a time.
Supenice filming and grading with the drone - you've really achieved that kind of unperfected filmic expression. Love the variation, and think you have a lot of interesting perspectives and nice grading using you handheld. The lack of that really nice shallow depth of field tells me the handheld is one less advanced cameras - buy a new one. Great video - again. 😊😊😊
Thanks! I added a subtle film grain and about 1% blur to achieve that "cinematic feeling," mainly to soften the harsh light from the midday drone shots. I wanted to avoid that "hard light" look. I’ve noticed the same issue with my handheld GoPro Hero 11-it really lacks that sense of depth, which has been a bit disappointing. So, I'm planning to upgrade to a more advanced mirrorless video camera but haven't decided on a specific model yet. Let me know your suggestions if you have any!
@@lagneredvisions At least I can tell you what I did in your situation. I startet of with just a mini 2 a couple of years ago, but pretty soon I got my Mavic 3 to be able to do some really good filming. Shootiing in d-log with10 bit color, made editing so incredibly easy. After a while I realised I that I wanted a greater variation of perspectives. The Mavic was still the main camera, and I didn't want to invest a whole lot of money in the handheld one, so I bought a DJI Pocket 2. I thougt that would be enought - it was a reasonable camera with 4K and a builtin gimbal, able to film in D-cinelike. Pretty soon a couple of problems occured. The main problem was colour. Despite the fact that DJI manufactures both cameras, the difference in color between sensors was hugh. Since my Mavic was the main camera and also produced the best picture, I tried to grade the Pocket film towards MAvic - but that wasn't easy. Due partly to the shortcomings of D cinelike, but mainly to the fact that Pocket to only shoot in 8-bit color, I often torn the picture apart. So basicly it was kind of useless. There and then the lack of bokeh wasn't an issue. But I went to the a couple of photo shops asking for a camera shooting in 10-bit color and in log-format. There are a lot of cameras doing that, but maily fullframe cameras costing from 35.000 NOK and up. There might also have been some crop-cameras with the same spec, I dont know, but I was told that Sony was about to release a crop-camera in their cinema line, the FX30. A camera designed spesifically for filming, and able to do so i log and with a colour quality up to 10-2-2 and with a bitrate up to 500 mbps. Also I was told the colors were close to those of Mavic 3 (which turned out to be true). I payed appr 24.000 NOK for that camera (same as a Mavic 3 fly more combo), and that is pretty much. (But yes FX30 is a much better camera than the one on Mavic 3) And then I have bought lenses, filters, a gimbal a tripod and so on. But, for starters, the video is so much better and the editing so much easier. And, secondly, it has turned out to be a lot of fun and much easier to make the result cinematic. As of now I actually use the handheld a lot more than the drone. It might not show on the channel yet, but the backyard ultra videos would not have been produced without a good handheld, and neither would the musicvideo "mayday". And now I have ordered a couple of anamorphic lenses to be able to shot videos with even more of that good old film-feeling. So the future is a bit expencice, but bright.
@@zzalg Thank you alot for your very detailed answer, I really apricate that! It seems like I'm experiencing a similar journey as you had with similar challenges. But I generally do not film in dLOG... yet. It has to do with a number of things. Primarily due to the video editing software that I prefer - Movavi has a major limitation when it comes to advanced colorgrading. And the reason I have used Movavi is because I like the feel but more importantly, my computer cannot handle DaVinci Resolve very well. Today I do some color grading in Davinci and then export it back to Movavi. That of course means that I eventually need a new video-editing computer (Yes I know)... When it comes to the handheld camera, I'm thinking of something in the same price range as the drone as well. FX30 might be a good alternative, but I also considering Canon, since one of my friends that take many of the shots on hiking videos has many nice lenses that I might be able to borrow, I'm unsure how compatible those are with Sony.. Nevertheless it is a jungle, but I will keep you updated of what I choose.
I visited this place two years ago, memories came back! Panoramic views ate brilliant! 👏

Hello! Found ya on Ervin's vid! Love your channels vibe. Leaving a sub. 500 in no time!
Thanks a lot! Much appreciated. Ervin creates some amazing work and has been one of my inspirations but my focus is usually slighly different.
