I love how Bleach characters explain their abilities to their enemies. It's not like having the element of surprise couldn't be a strategic advantage. Like Rangiku here. I mean, explaining how her attack works to her enemies is great and all because I'm sure that just slashing her opponents to death while they're confused in a cloud of dust wouldn't insure victory
@@fireblizard8366 there's a reason why the term "Always have the sun at your back" was invaluable to the samurai. It's to make sure one had an unseen advantage to use when the time was right because pride and honor isn't going to keep you alive in a bloody sword fight

But then I have to take away credit because his plan still didn't work and he ended up dead dead). On the note, it was smart of Aizen to do that, but let's keep in mind, he was the bad guy and it wasn't in the context of a battle. Aizen was also a cheap ass overpowered last boss with plot armor so dense Voltron's Blazing Sword couldn't cut through it, but I digress
There are some differences, By the looks of it Rangiku hit with a claw like attack, Byakuya only guides the blades either with though or by motion, Rangiku needs to swing her handle and can't freely move the sand around, but by the way she explained it, she could and should have been able to kill everyone in the ash cloud by simply swinging once. I don't know... bad writing maybe?
Because it doesn't help her narrative to be a bloody killer. In fact, the majority of women soul reapers use zanpakto that don't draw blood. Instead they mostly manifest as reishi weapons rather than blades.
If the possible new arc from the 20th anniversary One-Shot actually happens I hope we see it, I wanna see what Kubo has in store for her if he does have a beautiful bankai design for her😍😍😍
@@PrinceAli628 I do not think she has any major arc, Her whole arc was realised at the end when Gin was involved. She did not make that much of a difference in the TYBW. Kubo does like Yoruichi and Rangiku due to their bold personalities but storywise Rangiku does not have anything to go on. Maybe some small link with Isshin but we might see Isshin use his Bankai, maybe in order to protect his grandson. But this is just my guess.

If anything anime should do internal dialogue where the character explains his/her own ability in their heads--which would serve as a way of informing the audience w/o giving away their tactical advantage. Also, while I like Rangiku, her shikai should've been more than a knockoff of Byakuya's. Since "Haineko" means "ash cat" Rangiku should shape it into more cat-like forms. The ash should be able to assume the form of a massive ashy, cat paw, which can be used to manipulate objects, or to block attacks. It should also be able to extend its claws for cutting. And the paw should be able to disintegrate into ash in order to bypass objects, and/or escape when pinned/trapped/restrained. It should also be able to grind up earth, rocks, and stones, in order to increase its size and strength.

Her bankai is that she wears cat armor like Grimjow and Hiniko, but she spreads ash. And she basically has senbonzakura Kageyoshi but with sexy cat armor that makes her physically stronger.

Haineko is basically a worse version of Senbonzakura but it would be surely helpful, if Rangiku didn't immediately explain its powers. One would thing that she's a Visord since it's their trademark.
