Issue with the builder this year was 6’7 , 6’8 & 6’9 were the only heights that spanned every position so they had to make them viable and able to be good at any position you made them at … as a poses to a 6’5 you wasn’t making a 6’5 big man so they taxed you so heavy on perimeter things by the time you get to 80 on 2 or 3 things you penny pinching. Where with the 6’9 they left the door so open for you because of the abilities to play 1-5. 2k needs to take your height , weight and let you make your build and then give you a position based off what you prioritize, a 6’9 paint protector with 70 pass shouldn’t be a PG over a playmaking build. The NBA is positionless and the builder should be too. Something similar to what Live uses.

An idea I have is to lower the amount of points u receive to make a build but as u make more progress to legend you receive more points giving u more freedom to build those generational builds
350pts to start (still gets 99 ovr) +25 every time u hit level 40 So once u hit legend u have full freedom to create a all-around generational build This would also offer a better incentive to continue to play the game through the whole year, while also keeping the multi-player scene versatile.
Tweak a game play a bit from this year, keep only greens go in, also on dunk mechanics add that player is only gona go for driving dunk with the timing dunk meter mechanic, make it green only . Add off ball adrenaline boosts ,5 of them, Separate combo adrenaline boosts from off ball adrenaline, keep it at 3. Remove quick drops , remove giant slayer on layups and close shots, Boost WIDE OPEN shots depending on ATTRIBUTE, Call more fouls on double team/multiple players going for blocking/ under the basket on close shots.
My opinion whatever build we have to use you are able to make a great build or a bad build which ever one you make is on you, also the best player can use the best build and let a casual use the best build, the outcome still gone be different depends on skills.
The 23 builder is good. They just need to make it that if one category goes too high, then another category will drop. Example: you set your 3 pt to 99, but your driving dunk dropped from a 92 to a 85 and your steal dropped from a 99 yo a 92
I agree with u brotha jones on the 2k19 type builder that still allows us to upgrade how we want to an certain extent. For an example a slashing playmaker point guard can get 95 dunk and 92 playmaking and a 85 driving layup and dunk but not so good shooting and defense
Same with the badge system as well u should be able to get slashing archetype and playmaking archetype badges but not all hall of fame some mixtures of every badge of that archetype
I want 2k to do something similar to nba2k11! When micheal Jordan was a rookie and you had to play games and get points to update his skills! I think that would be more fun! I only play my career anyway! I don’t play event or anything else! I watch tons of videos and no talks about only my career! That’s what I like ! So there is a big difference and different styles of play ! ✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️
I remember when every RUclipsr said that pie charts are limiting cuz there’s superstar players that can do everything and the builder needs to get rid of them lmao. Now every RUclips acts as if they didn’t say that and wants to go back to pie charts. Funny
for me the best option for NBA 2K24 is 2K19 badges system (were if you want a tipe of badge you have to play a certain way to unlock it) end 2K23 build sistem.
I wish it would be set like this, GREAT, GOOD, OK, & BAD. For instance if you’re a defensive center then be; GREAT defense, GOOD/OK in playmaking/finishing (could flip flop depending on the person), and BAD in shooting, or mix and match however you want to play. I’m not saying we need role players, but when all you see is “Inside out scorer” it gets boring and just lane after 2 or 3 games. A defensive anchor or rim/paint protector that can somewhat space the floor is almost essential now a days because I’d you aren’t a shooter I can promise you this, you ain’t getting the ball.
I always felt like their should be a star system where one player on the team can have a demo build and the rest of the team has to have a role player or 1 player in the 3s a Demi and in rec two demi gods and 3 role players
Blend pie charts/double archetypes with the new free system. Basically, make it so the only way you can have an all around build is if every attribute is a 75. Once you put above 75 in one or 2 categories, the other ones start dropping. If u can dribble and shoot, you not finishing or defending at a high level. If you are 7’0 with a 90+ 3 ball, you shouldn’t be able to do much of anything else…
If u still have player specialty events then u still have do it all players but b forced to make multiple builds, and then it's easier to some daily challenges for some builds based on height n position it works for both the player n the game to b able to have do it all builds
I think there should be one large piechart, with red blue green and yellow, where you can choose the percentage of color you want in the piechart. And the attributes differ depending on your height weight and wingspan. The attributes could be filled in just like how the other piechart systems were. Same concept with physicals (you can choose the percentage of which physical you want)
@@hybrid8557 same dawg. I don’t think that the current build system is as bad as everyone makes it out to be tho. The gameplay sucks. Animations are weird and stamina sucks. I think that adrenaline boosts suck. It should be you slow down after every speedboost in a possession. That would fix leftrighting and would make it so you can still be effective while you still have stamina.
@@yourboikai748 if you wanted an attribute to go to 99, then you would adjust your height weight and wingspan and put more of a percentage into that part of the piechart
I like the 23 builder but just make it more harder to make a demigod so basically incentivize the people who want to be an elite shooter/defender/slasher/playmaker while also leaving the option to be an all arounder while not making all around overpowered like 21-23 builder
It should be a cap in certain instances to create more variety but nobody should be wanting to be basic role players. It also should be vote to kick for rec randoms that sell
You shouldn’t have limitless takeoff because it shouldn’t be in the game at all or at very least NERF it & make it VERY EXPENSIVE with Gold/HOF being only for slashers if builder is archetype based.
I feel like personally there should be lebrons but it should take skill to be lebron like 20 where it took skill to shoot with a low three and still be able to dunk
Facts it needs to be like 20 or 22. On 2k22 I had a russel Westbrook build with a 95 driving dunk and the shooting was 66 midrange and 56 3pt it actually took some skill to shoot, but on 23 you can literally have a high driving dunk with 80+ 3pt it takes no skill on this game man.
You said 1% of the league can do it all so that’s roughly 4.5 players in the NBA, let’s round that up to five. So I’m expected to spend $70 for the game and about $100 on a MyPlayer to make a role player? All they need to do is make it much harder to level up. At 85 you are essentially a role player and by time you reach 95-99 you’re a superstar. Just make the level system like 2K18.
@@Jamescob66 yea it was unrealistic and more fun that the point. Ya think making realistic game makes it better but there too many flaws to the game like the ball not solid most of time so it can’t be block almost 75% of the chance, contested shot etc
@@Jamescob66 if 2k fix the speed and acceleration to a player that above 6’5 to slow them down then we can talk because you have seen 6’8-7’3 point guard in the 1v1 in promenade, rec, pro-am and in video
They need to even it out across the board. A 6ft1 shouldn't be able to just come and dunk on a 7ft plus center or do a acrobat layup whenever they want if the defense is in the right position. Or no player should just be able to stand in the paint with hands up and stop a layup without moving. If someone was to just stand with hands up in the paint. Im making 8 or 9 out of 10 layups or he getting dunked on by a dunker. I play center and think the hands up is bs. If they do keep same builder. Make the best animations cost more. Quick drops should be a 93 plus. Jordan dribble like a 85 or 90 speed with ball. Whatever the best animations are should make you spend a lot to get period.
Facts 2k23 took the meaning of being a slasher away… playshots rim running with 90 driving dunks is crazy like there’s no reason to be pure slashers anymore.
You're right, the option to make a role player is still there . But why make Dillion Brooks when you can make lebron skill is the most important thing the builder is fine
I rather the do it all player. The Builder we have now is really good and can be a little better. At the end of the day it’s gonna be skill based on who can use their 99 player better anyway. Buffed or nerfed
When we had the pie charts people cried about having the freedom about being able to create anything they wanted. NOW, three years later, everyone wants to go back to the pie charts. Is it because the content creators/ so called pro players don’t like all of us having a even playing field? I just dont get the flop flopping of pie charts to free reign to back to pie charts! People talking about its not “ realistic” running around left to right for 23 seconds ain’t realistic either, but people talking bout they want adrenaline bars gone, so you have to pick you poison!! QUICK CRYING!!!

I agree with what you said about the builder
2k20 pie charts were perfect
yea i agree cuzie
I think the 2k20 builder was on to something ngl we need something like that
Also the takeover system needs to archetype based slashing playmaker should be able to only get playmaking slashing takeover
💯
I want them to bring it back where you can be overpowered in 1 stat good in 2 and poor in 1 it would make builds actually valuable
I always felt like their should be a star system where one player on the team can have a demo build and the rest of the team has to have a role player or 1 player in the 3s a Demi and in rec two demi gods and 3 role players
Good plan
Blend pie charts/double archetypes with the new free system. Basically, make it so the only way you can have an all around build is if every attribute is a 75. Once you put above 75 in one or 2 categories, the other ones start dropping. If u can dribble and shoot, you not finishing or defending at a high level. If you are 7’0 with a 90+ 3 ball, you shouldn’t be able to do much of anything else…
2k20 builder would be perfect just make where each attribute makes sense and take the 19 animation and 23 shooting system just change it
If u still have player specialty events then u still have do it all players but b forced to make multiple builds, and then it's easier to some daily challenges for some builds based on height n position it works for both the player n the game to b able to have do it all builds
this build system better be good i 🙏
Also u have to have elite builds, to count for the elites in the nba, if u make a bad build that is totally on you
2:21 YO BROTHA JONES USED MY THUMBNAIL IM HONORED🙏
Def need roles in 2k.
Limited and hit legend or get badges to get that legend action 💯
Life lesson Jones💯💯💯💯
I think there should be one large piechart, with red blue green and yellow, where you can choose the percentage of color you want in the piechart. And the attributes differ depending on your height weight and wingspan. The attributes could be filled in just like how the other piechart systems were. Same concept with physicals (you can choose the percentage of which physical you want)
Ngl I prefer the pie chart system it was more balanced and and every build had a meaning
Nah the attributes should go to 99 but I like most of the idea
@@yourboikai748 if you wanted an attribute to go to 99, then you would adjust your height weight and wingspan and put more of a percentage into that part of the piechart
@@crazedchicken631 nah I mean when putting in the points
I like the 23 builder but just make it more harder to make a demigod so basically incentivize the people who want to be an elite shooter/defender/slasher/playmaker while also leaving the option to be an all arounder while not making all around overpowered like 21-23 builder
If they go back to archetypes or pie charts 2k23 was my last 2k
Hope they give us a 18/19 Builder
my 2k17 playmaker still got contact dunks and I still shot decently
Every 2K has had broken builds though. Even on 17 the playmaker builds could do literally everything. 6’9-6’10 point forward
I think they should go the nba2k19 route
It should be a cap in certain instances to create more variety but nobody should be wanting to be basic role players. It also should be vote to kick for rec randoms that sell
bring back the og jump shot 38 😂😂
Everything in this videos make sense
For a game it’s more fun if people can’t do everything because defense just goes out the window half the time with the way 2k operates
You shouldn’t have limitless takeoff because it shouldn’t be in the game at all or at very least NERF it & make it VERY EXPENSIVE with Gold/HOF being only for slashers if builder is archetype based.
Noti gang 🙌🏽
I miss 2k20😔
I agree...i like having limits not gods
What’s the song to his back ground song
They should bring back pie charts
I think the vc prices are up because u only need one build that can do everything so u dont need more builds
6:54 that’s a great idea
We should be able to do it all or limit vc prices
Yooooo brotha how goes it
I like the 2k16/2k17 build system because you can use any dribble moves on any builds even a center with a 60 ball handle. It was fun game
Unrealistic
@@Jamescob66 yea it was unrealistic and more fun that the point. Ya think making realistic game makes it better but there too many flaws to the game like the ball not solid most of time so it can’t be block almost 75% of the chance, contested shot etc
@@Jamescob66 if 2k fix the speed and acceleration to a player that above 6’5 to slow them down then we can talk because you have seen 6’8-7’3 point guard in the 1v1 in promenade, rec, pro-am and in video
20 i agree i had more builds but also to max players out is way higher if they limit what are player can do with these higher vc prices its no win
I hope the vc prices to upgrade a myplayer be cheaper cause 2k23 was bogus with vc upgrading prices
you should start off as specialized and then be able to eventually evolve your player to a do it all
You just need to pick 2k19 or 2k20 builder and force on gameplay that matches that
They need to even it out across the board.
I like the way you think I had the same idea
Rather it be like it was before 21-22 tbh took more skill that every build able to do everything is kinda wack after a couple weeks of the game
I need the 2 Way Slashing Playmaker back😳
It would be fun to have a randomized build... IF VC wasn't so expensive
limit the builds brings back skill
Facts 2k23 took the meaning of being a slasher away… playshots rim running with 90 driving dunks is crazy like there’s no reason to be pure slashers anymore.
Vc price gonna let you know how many builds out there
I do like the creativity and freedom of the 2k23 builder but that same freedom is what limited the versatility of the builds in game as a whole.
Whatever they do .. people will complain 😂
The point of 2k my career is creating a superstar that take over the league so I don’t see the problem
