  • I shoot the Win and Win Meta DX and the Fivics Argon X for 1 week to compare and see what bow shoots best and which one I shoot higher scores with.
I discuss the differences in both bows and which bow I will be keeping and why.

The majority of bows I have owned and seen shot make a crack when first strung but for the last 30yrs I have simply told club members to stretch the string over your knees before shooting and usually the limbs will go into place without noise. Otherwise you simply pluck the string a few times, I am amazed of how many archers waste the first arrow bu not doing this. As always thanks for your honest review which is probably unique!

I'm relatively new to archery and have a Topoint Unison and WNS F2 limbs which has been a great set up to start with. It started to make that crack one day on the first shot after stringing. I've since read online that it's quite common for ILF bows on the first shot as things settle in. Now, when I string my bow, I check the string is lined up with the grooves and then give it a little pluck. More often than not it'll make the crack noise but it is nowhere near as severe as shooting an arrow.

@@lucpet95Yep. I can only presume from your exclamation mark that you think this is a bad idea but you don't say why.

Maybe I misunderstood you in the video, but if 500 spine arrows are stiff moving to 400 spine arrows will make things worse.

The crack you mention is the limbs needing to be set in, normal on all recurve bows. All you have to do is pull back the string about 5cm and let go, that will set them in and you are good to go. I have done this on everything I shoot, Hoyt even mention to do it in their manual...

Steve, what tuning system do you use; Easton tuning guide, Kaminski tuning for performance?

To avoid the first shot noise, just press the string hard towards the grip one time e.g. by pressing it to your upper leg or belly. This will give the limbs the push to move in place, which otherwise does the first shot.

Why the hell aren't clickers locking yet?!
The device should use both clicker bolt holes to have a stable base, then have a locking fine click system to set the angle and secure it.
