    About Youngsang Cho
    Youngsang Cho is Organic Farmer. Cho learned Natural Farming from his father Hankyu Cho(Korea Natural Farming, KNF) who advocated environmental agriculture since the 1960s. Cho family has been organic farming for the third generation. Cho served in 706 special forces and graduated from Aju University (Bachelor, Chemistry) and Chungnam National Uni (Master, Horticulture). Cho has entered the Ph.D. course from the Department of Agricultural Biology at Chonbuk National University. Cho started organic agriculture in 1989. Through decades of practice and research, he created a new Ultra-Low-Cost organic agriculture system based on his father's farming and Asian traditional farming. He founded “JADAM” in 1991. In 2022, JADAM's membership exceeded 80,000.

    I got the book and have started reading. I want to get my beds ready but, I am in Florida and have almost pure sand for soil. I'm not sure if I should bank the sand and then add compost on top, or just start with straight compost. Another question- how tall should I make the beds, before covering with the landscape fabric? I'm tired of failed gardens. I'm going to be wise and do it your way. Thank you so much!

    • @JADAMORGANIC
      @JADAMORGANIC  2 года назад +1

      Thank you. When you first start, put the compost on the sand, mix it, and then sprinkle the compost on top again. From now on, you can continuously put compost on the sand. There is no fixed answer for the height of the bed. If the soil has good drainage, the bed rarely needs to be raised. If the soil is not well drained, it should be high. I hope you have a happy gardening with JADAM's method. The JADAM method is easy and works well.
