My guess is the interviewer had asked a leading question that was worded in a way to receive a specific response. She may have even been paraphrasing the interviewer's words. These shows are extremely manipulative in their editing, and should not be taken too seriously. And remember that we don't get to hear or see the whole exchange so we don't know what the interviewer is really asking or what the tone of their conversation really is.

Jasmine Forde yea poor guy. His wife Lauren ended being one of the best things to happen to him. Look at nick now. So happy and healthy. I didn’t really like Lauren at first but she’s perfect with Nick and they make a lovely couple

Yeah exactly! I watched that too and you can just see the pain and damage in all of them. I feel like 99 percent of kids who have been entered into this business feel that way - like they have missed out on their childhood. I read a book about Michael Jackson that was like 900 pages its huge and I remember him saying that everyday after school he had to go to the studio to rehearse and record and on the way, driving there, whenever they passed by the park, he just wished that he could just be at the park playing after school, acting like a normal kid. They all just wanted normal lives as kids. How many child stars do you see who are so messed up for some period of time because of being in the business.
20AmandaL I think considering all this, they turned out pretty well - with the exception of leslie i guess. at least they have all tried to get their lives on track and nick is doing well at the minute (idk about aaron haha). i always felt really bad for nick, he was always trying to fix them and help them, and he had a lot of responsibility towards them all when he didn't have to. it's just sad he couldn't help leslie.

Let's look at it from a different standpoint: She toured the world with her two sons, and left her three girls behind, to be raised by themselves?? to play, to learn how to cycle, to study and get dressed for school, to handle emotions by themselves?? When you decide to have 5 children, you need to love, be there and care equally for each and every one. And even after all the mistakes being made all those years, when you are a mother, you are always there when your grown-up children are facing problems. You are always there, and you expect nothing in return. She did absolutely nothing; it is them who sang, danced, woke up to do shows and photoshoots, instead of being typical school kids who play with their friends. From day 1, she couldn't even make a decision; instead, she let 11-year-old Nick decide whether to join BSB or the Mickey Mouse Club. As Nick has correctly said, you don't leave such a decision to an 11-year-old. Did she ever ask her boys if they truly wanted to get into this business? Maybe they simply preferred a loving family, school and friends.

I think Bob Carter was an asshole. Very dominant and probably abusive towards the family. He "led by fear" as Nick put it on Dr.Phil. I don't condone Jane's actions but I don't think she bares responsibility for everything. I am sure Bob did his fair share for the story to develop the way it did.

My mother is a functioning bipolar (my father is an alcoholic) Ultimately they lie, steal, cheat, and sabotage , indifferent about relationships, education, employment, giving forewarning children not to call family, 4 siblings w/ out graduating, no career, no homeowner. And they take no responsibility. When confronted she listens reluctantly, doesn't willingly answer questions and ends the conversation quickly, all without emotion other than frustration. My oldest sister is a paranoid schizophrenic. She won't discuss what has happened to her. But, she has lashed out that she doesn't want to talk about it.

20AmandaL I think considering all this, they turned out pretty well - with the exception of leslie i guess. at least they have all tried to get their lives on track and nick is doing well at the minute (idk about aaron haha). i always felt really bad for nick, he was always trying to fix them and help them, and he had a lot of responsibility towards them all when he didn't have to. it's just sad he couldn't help leslie.

They are just objects to her, to earn her money, attention and fame, to which she squandered it, especially Aarons. I have total sympathy for Aaron and Nick and all the children to be raised my such a vulgar woman. Although she can take some credit for their careers, she did so only for her own gain, not one second did she think about her children and family. But karma reigns she is alone, sorry, sad person living on a pension in tampa.
No wonder most of her kids have struggled with depression and addiction, and now another one has passed away. I did believe that Aaron would overcome his struggles. So sad 😞

Jane is an alcoholic who took advantage of her children to feed her addiction. She ruined her children. Leslie died, Aaron is a mess, and Nick and BJ also stuggled with addiction. She's a terrible mother because of her alcoholism. She said she was helping her family, but her addiction ruined them.
Aaron finally succumbed as well.

No wonder Aaron struggled so much when his Dad died. He was probably the most sane out of the 2 and probably gave him that love and affection he so longed for. In one of his last interviews, on a podcast he said his mom was basically on her last leg because of alcoholism and honestly I don’t feel sad for her, because of how badly she destroyed her family… especially Aaron. He was just a baby. With a mother like that… you really do have to be strong to survive.

Let's look at it from a different standpoint: She toured the world with her two sons, and left her three girls behind, to be raised by themselves?? to play, to learn how to cycle, to study and get dressed for school, to handle emotions by themselves?? When you decide to have 5 children, you need to love, be there and care equally for each and every one. And even after all the mistakes being made all those years, when you are a mother, you are always there when your grown-up children are facing problems. You are always there, and you expect nothing in return. She did absolutely nothing; it is them who sang, danced, woke up to do shows and photoshoots, instead of being typical school kids who play with their friends. From day 1, she couldn't even make a decision; instead, she let 11-year-old Nick decide whether to join BSB or the Mickey Mouse Club. As Nick has correctly said, you don't leave such a decision to an 11-year-old. Did she ever ask her boys if they truly wanted to get into this business? Maybe they simply preferred a loving family, school and friends.

I think Bob Carter was an asshole. Very dominant and probably abusive towards the family. He "led by fear" as Nick put it on Dr.Phil. I don't condone Jane's actions but I don't think she bares responsibility for everything. I am sure Bob did his fair share for the story to develop the way it did.

From personal experience. My mother is a functioning bipolar (my father is an alcoholic) Ultimately they lie, steal, cheat, and sabotage , indifferent about relationships, education, employment, giving forewarning children not to call family, 4 siblings w/ out graduating, no career, no homeowner. And they take no responsibility. When confronted she listens reluctantly, doesn't willingly answer questions and ends the conversation quickly, all without emotion other than frustration. My oldest sister is a paranoid schizophrenic. She won't discuss what has happened to her. But, she has lashed out that she doesn't want to talk about it.
