Amazing 👏 🤩 ...I met Warney at Rebel Sport in 1994, answering my question he proceeded to show me the wrist movement of the flipper, just awesome. What a legacy.
Murali bowled mostly on spinning tracks in Asia. Warne bowled leg spin. It's much harder to master than off spin, and he had to bowl with little assistance on Aussie wickets. Warne was miles ahead. That's why he was 1 of 5 Wisden players of the last century
@@Nikhilkh24 Sorry I disagreed with the comments made by the person who earlier texted by the name of Zubinox ( not sure if I spelt that right) who trashed the legacy of Shane Warne. Perhaps I should have been clearer.
Was Shane Warne overrated? He was always smashed around the park whenever he played in India. The Gatting ball was rubbish, no way was the ball of the century. All the batsman had to do was cover the spin back to the stumps and it was practically a free hit. The English media over glorified him.
Your take on the Gatting ball is ridiculous. Using hindsight every ball is playable if you know where it is going/went. But the art of leg spin is deception. Which was achieved by Warne on this occasion with his drift in the air. There’s more to it than just a ball spinning really aggressively.
absolutely right! GOd rest his soul but Murali was a much better bowler! Warne's legacy was inflated by the English press because of his larger than life persona, and the fact that he took a lot english wickets in the ashes who were dreadful players of spin. The Gatting ball was not rubbish and he most certainly is a top spinner of all time

Adam Gilchrist retired in 2008. The fourth Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2007-2008 in Adelaide was his final Test match.
Friend of the show
Did Murali make the mural, perhaps with a big 'Asterisk' the Gaul next to him...?
Murali is a great bowler , probably the greatest in terms of stats , Warne is a genius , the biggest big match player from 1990s till date .....

@@Alunticstalkedme4072 That's what I said , being great by stats doesn't make you a genius ..... Warne will always be greater than Murali .....
Murli was a chucker like Akhtar, Lee,azmal they took the advantage of loop hole in cricketing law and kept on playing.🤫
So does bumrah @@michaelmulhall5007
Didn't know any of these backstories. This explains Gavaskar's comment about Warne's lifestyle after his death.
What did he say? I dont recall
ADHD coded 😂
Comment about Gilchrist so rude, sums up Warne as an asshole. Always wanted berry
I most seriously disagree.
I most seriously agree.
Disagree with what and why
In a disagreeable manner!

Warne had 691 test wickets, Mural had 615. Warne was way better and it's not even open for discussion.
Not even close to being correct. Warne had 708 and Murali had 800

Murali bowled predominantly against weaker opposition on spin friendly wickets. Off spin is much easier to master leg spin too.
Muruli had 100 more than Warne.
Murali significantly better average and economy rate but both great bowlers: GOAT spinners 1 and 2.

The amount of hole's in your comment is funny, I guess you started watching cricket last week.

How do you explain the number of test wickets he took?
