UTKind UTEP Sarah Mickelson

Heather Wilson, President for The University of Texas at El Paso, always knew the best students at UTEP could compete with the best students anywhere. By becoming the university’s first Harry S. Truman Scholarship awardee in 17 years, Sarah Mickelson - who came to El Paso all the way from Alaska - proved Wilson right. And Mickelson isn’t alone, 2023 has been a banner year for UTEP students applying for and earning prestigious fellowships.
