I dont mean to be so offtopic but does any of you know a way to log back into an instagram account? I somehow forgot my account password. I would love any tips you can offer me
Really nice job bud... I think glass in the lid would have added that extra wow feature and exhibit the watches inside. Excellent make tho, love walnut 🤙🏻
Really like your presentation style. The box is very nice and love the grain match--- just a suggestion for your next one is to mortise in the hinges and the front hardware to take it to that 'next level'!! Looking forward to watching other videos so I'm a new subscriber. Thanks!
Ouawww!!! vous faites un tres joli travail, ça donne envie decouvrir et travailler avec vous, tellement des outils sympatique et fascinant. love it good job
Yes! However I'm a little limited in tools to refinish wood, specifically I don't have a jointer, a planner or a bandsaw so I will have to work a lot with the tools I have to make it nice. The good news is that I have a bunch of pallet wood around and found some boards that are exactly 1/2" thick, that will save me the step of resawing the wood. Also my watch collection keeps growing, I have about twenty watches plus lots of straps. The box will be either big or very tall 😂.
Amazing work and very well done video. I'm just starting to get into doing small woodworking projects for myself and my wife. Where do you get such high quality lumber? The lumber at the big chain stores is such poor quality.
The wood will expand and contract over time, especially if humidity changes. By not gluing the panels, you allow them to move. If not, the wood can warp or split. Probably not much of an issue at this size, but good practice.
Greetings Kevin, Vladimir here with NTD Television. We are one of the world's fastest growing media companies with over 100 million fans and 1 billion monthly video views across all of our social properties. Our motto is truth, hope, and humanity. Our team was very impressed by your videos: How To Make a Wooden Watch Box (Walnut and Maple) How To Make a Spline Jig for Your Mitered Boxes and our editors would like to showcase it by uploading it on some of our social media pages and websites so that our fans can see it. Of course, we are happy to credit your channel clearly to make sure people know how to find you and your videos. You will still hold the exclusive rights to the videos. Can we have your permission to do that? Kind regards, Vladimir
First, I realize this is a 4 year old video, but some praise, some criticism, then more praise. Please stick with me throughout my review. I hope to make something as beautiful, however, I can tell you are NOT a watch guy. Nobody wants a watch box without an exhibitionist top view. Glass or plexiglass glass would be preferred for the top instead of a closed container. You did not make a watch box, you made a box that just happens to be able to hold watches. There is actually a difference. Your selection of hinges just screwed onto the back is appalling. You made a gorgeous box, then slapped crap hinges flat on the back. No recess or anything. Please use some nice brass hidden hinges for future iterations. Same goes for that horrid clasp. Your thumbnail shows a full watch box with watch pillows and displayed watches. A “finished” project, yet, you never cover ANY of that info at all. Just a basic box build. For all the “you have all the tools” haters, eff them. Your vid is for a watch box, not a watch box with no tools… I always dispose those comments. Why do people watch these videos and NOT expect to need some (several) tools to complete a nice project. Idiots… FYI, Newton Makes posted a version of this a year ago. Did he modify your version? I don’t know, he did address almost all of my complaints though, so if you inspired him, job well done Sir. He does however sell a video series tutorial for $25 for his box. Maybe he owes you some royalties? Again, I don’t know. At the end of the day, it is just a box. Thanks for sharing the dimensions and the majority of your process. Matched, continuous grain for the win! I hope you are still making and creating projects and content. Great job, the only way we learn to get better is to keep learning. Thank you for the inspiration to try one on my own. I hope your client was happy with the results.
As both a watch collector and a woodworker this is amazing on so many levels. Good job.
Thank you for the compliment and the support! 👊 Much appreciated

@Peter Terrence instablaster ;)
Thanks for posting this. I followed along and made my own but used plexiglass for the top instead. Your instructions made it much easier.
Superb. I’d happily have one of those on my shelf. Prefer a glass lid though.
Thank you! Yup, a glass lid would look nice too.
Love this build. I really appreciate your sharing the dimensions and process. Thanks.
What a great design. I am adapting this to allow for the charging of my Apple Watch
Wow.. you have all the tools in the world to make things on your own. Amazing 👍

Really nice job bud... I think glass in the lid would have added that extra wow feature and exhibit the watches inside. Excellent make tho, love walnut 🤙🏻

Hi, beautiful work, do you make them for viewers? Asking because i am looking for something like that.
Nice
Thank you
Can you tell me where you got the hinges from. Thanks.
Hi. Can you tell me the slot width and length, thanks !
Well good job
Beautiful !!!
Where did you get and what size watch display pillows did you get?
These are the ones I purchased amzn.to/3OcWD5s
Very nice
Love it!
Qual o nome dessa ferramenta que você usou pra deixar o disco de corte em 45 graus?
¡¡ BEAUTIFUL GREAT!!🙏👍
Thank you for watching!
Stumbled on your channel and enjoyed your video. What blade did you use to resale you wood?
This is a great video
Great job. May I ask where you purchased the watch pillows from?
Thank you! I purchased these from Amazon.
Do you by chance know the differences between Odies Oil and Odies Wax?
How can i buy with you and how much bucks
What is the watch box length and width
What did you use to wrap watch bands around, bean bags? Nice video!
I used some "watch pillows" I found on amazon. If you search that you'll get a ton of options. Thank you for the support!
Most watch boxes have see-through tops. Because they want to display their prize watches. Would have been better with glass lid
Why is no glue applied to the top and bottom cover?
The wood will expand and contract over time, especially if humidity changes. By not gluing the panels, you allow them to move. If not, the wood can warp or split. Probably not much of an issue at this size, but good practice.
Wow look at all the gadgets he has
What are the dimensions of the box? I only heard 4" tall
You do great work, why did you stop? I believe you would’ve done really well on RUclips.
Thank you, I appreciate that! We had many life changes that put YT on the back burner. But I'm trying to make more videos now.
this video makes the $300 watch box worth
I did it with the Woodglut plans.
Very cool you were able to find some good plans 👍 Thanks for watching
@@WoodGrainJunkie Best wishes !
Lmao i can't even find walnut wood within a 400 mile range

Dopppppe
Thanks for watching! 👊
I did it with the woodglut plans.
I've heard good feedback about the woodglut instructions.
Woodglut plans are amazing!
Woodglut has a lot of plans to choose from.
Now do it without all the tools.
Hahah agreed.
A nice project ruined by having the hinges exposed.

so much work for a trash looking watch box
How you gonna not tell us about that cool poker-card trick you used as spacers when installing hardware?
Stodoys has a lot of designs to choose from.
I made it with Woodglut plans!
