I think that you were wonderfully calm and positive considering the adverse conditions. Great effort, Helen and Rain!
Thank you Lyndell! I'm sure next year will be perfect conditions!!
Yay I havent seen your videos for ages! Love you x
Bless your heart, I thought it was nuts not to have cancelled the Saturday this year with the weather warnings, such a shame for you to loose your gazebo, hope the day made up for it, you work so hard with so much love
I know - I could've just kept the gazebo at half height to cover up all the clothes and enjoyed a nice day out in the New Forest! Oh well. Had you planned on coming on the Saturday? I was hoping to see you, but I know you've been super busy with your rewilding weekends. I would have loved to come to one, but every single weekend this summer was booked up already. Hopefully next year; the space is looking amazing. xxx
Absolutely bless your heart! You seemed much more chill after you were ready to leave. I am planning on being a merchant @ the next WORLD of FAERIES festival in August 2022. I am really looking forward to going to commune with the spirit of my dearly departed friend Joan. She was clairaudient and I would do all of the "heavy lifting" as her roadie. Those were some of the happiest days of.my life. I have been in the hospital/rehabilitation center the past three years recovering from 6 craniotomies! It will be wonderful to get outside and smell the grass, pines and clover blossoms. Take care Hon. Bye bye.
Oh that's exciting! I hope the festival goes really well for you, particularly as it sounds like you've had a really tough time of it lately. Yes - enjoy the scent of nature!
TFS Helen, what a shame the conditions weren't better for you after all the work you had put in, best laid plans eh!!! and what a shame about the camera etc. Sharing in your pain and sending hugs 💛💙💜🧡 Julia x
Thank you so much Julia :) Unfortunately the British weather cannot be predicted!
Bless you we did into the wild last year. Four days of wind and rain sleeping in puddles in our tent. It was like a hurricane and stall clothing everything was blown on the ground and soaked 🙏🏼
Oh no, that sounds awful! At least I was dry. I hope you've managed to recover and your clothing is alright.
Oh honey! The weather was not on your side, and I think you really kept your cool, all things considered!
Hi! I'm not sure what's going on - RUclips seem to either be deleting some of my replies or not publishing them in the first place. I did reply to your comment ages ago, so I'm sorry if you didn't see it. At least the weather was fine on the Sunday; let's hope for good weather next year though!!
Oh no!!! how disappointing!!! still a good vlog and angood example of real life!! did anyone buy the wedding dress???
Thank you! No, I didn't sell the wedding dress, or any of the more expensive dresses this year. I did alright - it was good for one day, but was not enough to make up for missing trading on the Saturday unfortunately.
Oh Helen. I'm sorry it went that way. Nonetheless, from here in Canada, it's enlightening to see that you get nasty weather too - it's not all bucolic English countryside. So thanks for a healthy dose of reality. Also, as a fan of "Midsomer Murders" it's interesting to see an ACTUAL fete (as they call them) - it seems so very English and delightful.
And perhaps I haven't mentioned how much I enjoy the guitar music you employ in the background - well done; thanks.
And we're human. Sometimes we moan a little. It's OK.
Thanks again, Helen.
Oh my gosh, we don't half get bad weather sometimes! More often than not, it feels like! I too am a Midsomer Murders fan - I'll have to make sure I vlog a quintessential village summer fete for you next year - I'm sure I can find one with some archery and a fancy dress competition!
Thank you :)

Thanks Helen - that would be great - especially the "fancy dress"part.
Dont you just love our British climate ? you can't plan any outdoor activities with confidence. You did well to stick it out, I'd have packed up and left !
I know, you really can't plan anything, even in August! I'm glad we stuck with it, as Sunday was lovely, but I was SO tired afterwards!
Almost every August in UK is cold and windy. The festival should be taking place in May, June or July
It's typical isn't it?! The middle of August does get the families on holiday in the area though.
Wow what a nightmare....Did everyone get half their pitch fee back as everyone lost a days trade.... I use to do markets years ago and yes the weather can make or break you..... I think you handled it well I would of been throw a tantrum 😬🙄😬hope you made some $$$$.♥️
Thank you Ingrid; no we didn't get half our pitch fee back, but we have got a half price pitch for next year, so that's something (even though the pitch has gone up by £20 grr) Hopefully next year will be a sunny one!
