I love the series s and I don’t care what they say about it I have for a year and big difference between my ps4 for 8 years I still got Nintendo switch lite is nice I’m a cheap poor guy
The fact that we have the same story 😭 i have my ps4 for 8 years and now i upgraded to my first xbox (series s), i just got it today and i cannot wait to try it, everyone says is so good for its price and i was so hyped when i got it
The series S is badass. If someone was really worried about getting the best resolution they should be on PC anyway. The series x and PS5 are phenomenal but there really is such a minute difference between them when it comes down to it. Especially if you don't have a monitor that supports the highest resolution and refresh rate anyways. The speed of this console compared to previous gen, the portability, features and price make it the best deal in gaming imo.
The ps5 is more then a match for a pc in gaming. Don't get me wrong the pc has plenty of advantages, like mods, and other great features a console can't touch. My ps5 burns pc players all day, I have an advantage for two or three frames, and its not even close to being maximum power yet, games and tvs or monitors can't reach what it can yet, it will play at 8k if you can get a TV or monitor that can match that, which I can't yet. Each has its benefits. My son games on an Xbox s , and its awesome. The game catalog, the size, and the speed are well worth the money at the price tag, we get his at 200 on black Friday, and me being the child I am, I gave it to him so I could play on it sooner haha. I also have a pc, which is my absolute favorite. I am a big cod zombies player, and with the ability to mod and play maps from great creators is by far my favorite way to play. With that said, all and all, my ps5 is my home console, I have upgraded my system to an extra 1T with a Samsung 970 m.2 , new fan, and cover , for most games it is still better for hard-core gaming. Even surprised my pc for most games. In my case , I have a large household. So with 6 children, and wife that is also a hard-core gamer, I have multiple systems, and ways to play, so it's different. If it was just me, we'd have just the pc for zombies lol, I work alot, but I have many because I've gained them overtime to keep the kids from killing each other, I like how many accounts can work on one ps plus subscription, so I save money. My son is a big Xbox guy so he plays that. For 99.9 percent of gamers I'd recommend the Xbox s. It's small, ypu can stream whatever you want through the ultimate game pass, and even use your phone or pc to do so. It is by far the best choice right now for most gamers, I wish u didn't hate the controller so much or I'd use it far more, but I'm a ps player at heart, so between the God of war games, the controller, I'm spoiled. I do wish more people would understand the benefits of the S though, I'll defend that little thing all day!
Tbh your comment doesn’t make sense ,the difference between the series s and last gen console is not really big ,but the series x and ps5 is actually quite big compared to last gen console ,the real new gen console are actually the ps5 and series x , keep in mind we are still in the cross gen time ,they haven’t yet made games specifically for new gens , we will have to wait and see how the series s will perform when Unreal engine 5 games will come out , I’m sure 30fps will return on the series s .
I have the PS5 and PC but got this out of curiosity awhile back when I saw it ridiculously cheap on the Facebook market.. I'll just say this, if all of my stuff was somehow damaged or stolen without a doubt the seriesS would be the first thing I would rush out to replace immediately, yes partly because it's the most affordable thing to replace but also because it unexpectedly became such a vital and loved part of my gaming life and I'd honestly state that it is a much more tidy and satisfying device to have than the other things aswell
That’s a hella upgrade. I remember jumping from the 360 to the one s and I was blown away lol and then I got the one x and then was even more blown away about how much power I was missing the last gen. That’s why rn I’m on a low budget rtx build to start off my pc gaming/building journey
Makes perfect sense as a casual gamer to me, its a low investment that gets you into the latest high end games and the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
Xbox series s is an incredible upgrade from the one s or the original Xbox one. Frame rate from a unstable 30fps to steady 30fps or even 60 fps unlocked for most games I have played is worth getting the system for. Quick launching games and fast loading screens is awesome! I'm very satisfied with how great this system is.
Love the Series S, had it over 18 months now and played loads of stuff on it, had zero problems with anything really and now I also have a PS5 but I still use the Series S a lot more, I play on a big TV and honestly I really can't see much difference in the graphics anyway. You said it, the Series S just works absolutely fine and quick resume is ace. 👍
@@martinflores7354 quick resume literally allows you to continue from anywhere you stopped even after you played a bunch of other games, even if you fully unplug your xbox and plug it back in 2 weeks later. That's quick resume. Think of it like apps on a phone switching constantly back and forth with no limits
@@martinflores7354 I don't play any COD games so I can't comment on that, I was just agreeing with Julien that quick resume is great feature on the console
So for my job we supply oil rigs equipment to keep them running. When that equipment breaks down we are called out to fix it. We supply oil rigs all over the place so a lot of us end up traveling pretty far. For example some of my coworkers are up in Alaska right now. I have really debated on getting the Series S for the portability of it. Especially with the screen attachment. It's great for jobs like that.
Series S is nowadays the best product in a price-quality scenario on its gaming offer (aside from the Steam Deck). Graphics isn't everything when it comes to gaming in my opinion, and being able to play an excellent catalog of games without spending too much money on hardware, should be something to consider. Great video!
People buying the series s dont care much about graphics. They might be on the same boat as I playing ark on a mediocre pc. Low res ark looks worse then the original doom trust me the series s knows its audience and is a major upgrade since it can run 120 fps easily. Still looks good regardless because it's next gen so worry not
Two year later I love my Series S even more than the when I bought it. Being able to play Fallout 3 at 60 fps at an upscaled 4k on a console is a dream come true for me. Comparing Cyberpunk 2077 running side by side PS5 I was shocked how slight the difference is. The console just continues to improve as developers get used to the current gen hardware. So many games I'm looking forward to now as well. I need Starfield! Lol
You are right! 1440p is sub 4k but not alot of difference from 4K. The Series S should be called the "Series Beast". I love mine and I have a Series X and a PS5 Digital as well. You won't be disappointed with the Series S! If you are a Playstation gamer then i really recommend it. Add game pass and you're set.
If you are planning to keep the console for a very long time I would def not recommend it ,if you can buy a series x or ps5 do it because 30fps will be a so common when unreal engine 5 games will come out .
Just bought mine for 200$. It was used for 2 months so I still have 22 month warranty (I'm from Europe) and can't wait for it to arrive. Makes perfect sense for me to use as a gaming device at college since I have a gaming PC at home plus I can get up to 3 years of gamepass ultimate with the live gold trick.
I’ve had mine since January & I’m still impressed by it. It fits perfect, next to my ps5 & Switch. It definitely punches above its weight. Don’t regret purchasing it at all. Get the Series S & Gamepass and you’re set. Best deal in gaming, if you’re on a budget. The compromise is minimal, in terms of graphics. We’ll see how it holds up in later years, but for now, it’s a solid choice.
I have a LG OLED tv, which is very good for gaming, however I am struggling to justify the extra price for the X - other than storage. Have you got a 4k tv? Would you recommend forking out over twice the cost for the X?
It's the opposite for me. I got the Series X first earlier this year as I wanted to wait for Forza Horizon 5 to be released first. I then signed up for Game Pass and was impressed by it that I signed up for the next 3 years at a super cheap rate. I knew I wanted the Series S as a second console afterwards but I wanted to wait til it was on sale. Got a killer deal for it that brought it down to $150 new. It was a no brainer at that point. I just picked up the xScreen as well while it was on sale for BF. I should be getting it soon now. Can't wait to try it out even tho I already have a portable 1440p@144Hz monitor. The setup will be much better but if I wanted 120Hz then I could use my portable monitor or 4K TV to do so. I too play my Xboxes more then my PS5 which I had since launch and earlier this year got the Plus Premium Plan for 3 years as well for a super cheap price but it's just not as great as Game Pass imo. I like that it works on my PC or tablet too!
My very 1st ever Xbox arrived today being shipped to me from Target, it's the Series S brand new & was only $250 ~ now i finally have all 3 consoles as it joins my PS4 & Switch (while I now start saving up for the PS5 & a bigger nicer TV that will also be my 1st 4K), I have been wanting & waiting to have all the consoles for quite awhile now!!! My brand new Series S is my belated birthday present, as my birthday is in February.💚💙🎉🎊🎮 🖖Peace and long life 🖖Live long and prosper P.S. really like your videos ~ now a new subscriber ~ GR8 work!
I love my series s. Especially next to my PS5. Idk why, but the white on white look just comes more appealing to me. It just feels like this was how you should be gaming on the current generation. A Series S on one side, and a PS5 on the other with a nice 4K UHD TV in the middle 👍
Have the series ⚡️for 2 yrs now and I can honestly say it’s my favorite system hands down… if you’re on the fence… hop off an snag an Series S,you won’t be disappointed.
3 weeks ago I was looking to upgrade my PS4 because I wasn't happy with the way Battlefield 2042 performed which is pretty much the only game I play I mean it was playable and I had a lot of fun but a lot of rendering issues and lag. But I could not find a PS5 at retail price so I took a chance and bought an Xbox series S for $250 and I love it Battlefield 2042 looks awesome and no lag and for the price you can't beat it I mean I'm on a budget and I'm really glad that I bought this thing it looks better than the PS4 did and I have access to next gen games. I can't believe all the games I have access to for only 15 bucks a month, it's a good deal especially for us working class. Thanks for your videos.
As someone who grew up always playing PlayStation from 1 to now 5 and handhelds, I did have a 360 that got rrod, I got a series s while patiently waiting for ps5, let me say, series s is great, it’s fun to have as a second console! Great intro to the Xbox world!
I upgraded from an original VCR Xbox one so for me it was absolutely worth it. I never played any of the physical copies of the Xbox game I had anyway. I love the series s so much
Recently (couple months now) changed from switch (2017 release) to Xbox series s and it's a amazing change as the Xbox delivers amazing performance and with game pass ultimate Im able to play a variety of games previously unknown to
I’ve had a ps5 since launch day. I have a switch, an oculus, even some steam games on my laptop. Been looking to grab an Xbox but couldn’t decide which to grab. This vid definitely helps! Thank you!
I’ve been feeling like getting back into gaming, I had a ps5 and a gaming pc, but I sold them both since I rarely game anymore, like an hour or two a week, so made no sense in having a flashy console and an expensive gaming pc just gathering dust. The series s is readily available (the series x still isn’t….) and gamepass, seems like a good deal to me. Just trying out games on gamepass when I feel like (and have the time) to play some games. Also I miss playing ms flight simulator 2020. The low storage doesn’t really matter to me, I have a fast internet connection so deleting and re-downloading games ain’t no thing. Although ms download servers probably ain’t as good as steam servers. But, good video man, helped me affirm my thoughts and decision.
Upgrade from a OG PS4 to Series S and I am very happy with it. It's way more powerful than what I had and I have gotten a nice library of games when they've been on sale.
Great video! I keep watching Xbox Series S videos even though I know I'm going to want to buy a PS5 for the exclusives. There are some audio syncing issues in the video, just so you know. And by the way, your eyes in this video tells me you were very tired. Cheers!
You are absolutely right about upscaled 4k on the Series S!! I have both PS5 digital edition and Series S connected to my 4k 60hz TV. While it's obviously the PS5 that look shaper when I pixel peep, from the ideal distance of a couch gamer which is roughly about 6-8 feet, the difference in the image quality is not that noticeable. 4k is amazing on my PS5 however, upscaled 4k on my Series S is still very much liveable even in 2022. I guess 1080p/1440p gaming is not going anywhere anytime soon. Furthermore, I prefer the design of the Series S over PS5 and to my surprise, it is my PS5 that whines and runs a bit loud while my Series S is dead Silent. Overall, Series S is the best bargain for this generation
As someone who refused to pay a scalper for my Series X I’m extremely happy I found one at retail price. It’s been a phenomenal piece of hardware for the past year & a half I’ve owned it. By far the quietest & most powerful console I’ve ever owned. While I see the appeal of the Series S to people wanting to save money it just wasn’t an option for me. I have a huge back catalog of physical 360 & Xbox Original games where not having a disc drive for backwards compatibility would be absolutely detrimental for me. At least you can walk into any store though and purchase a Series S at a moments notice. ***Wanted to come back since I finished watching your vid.. I am absolutely someone who will play “older” classic games on my Newer console to get the improvements that come along with it. It also is a big reason why I will never subscribe to game pass. Spending an extra $180 a year isn’t a viable option for me since I own mostly all the games on there that I want to play/own. The Series X is the definitive way to play any game I throw at the console, new or old.
I totally understand this. I think you are more of an enthusiast and have prior investments in the xbox library that make the X the better option. That just isn't a lot of people right now. Love the convo man!
I'm a casual gamer who has felt left behind by the current gen of systems. First, they are so hard to find I'm just not willing to put the effort in. Second, the price is insane for someone who plays 1-3 games a year. I bought a Series S just to play Jedi Survivor. What a clutch system! It was easy to find for $170 new in box, and I get to play a new game that wasn't released for my dinosaur ps4. On top of that, I can casually jump in and out of games I'd never buy via game pass. If anything, it's turned me more into gaming and has made me a big Xbox fan.
I'm getting this as my first Xbox for my birthday! I only have Nintendo consoles and I can't wait to play games that take up more space and have higher graphics
I just got my Xbox series S for 150 bucks, Verizon is offering it for $150 for customers with a plan, never considered it but for that price I had to do it👌
Visually, I would not compare the Series X to S, for the Series X is an output beast and a fantastic bargain for performance. However, for the price, size, and the fact that it can play all current generation titles, the Series S is a fantastic option for those wanting to access Gamepass, but also own other consoles such as the PS5. I also think that this Series S has been down played as the One S replacement when it's a beast of a console compared to all last generation hardware.
I’ve had my series s for about a year now and it looks and runs amazing on my 1440p monitor. For the casual gamer or someone who’s on a budget, the series s will not disappoint. It’s still way better than any last generation hardware, and being able to get 1080/1440p at 60-120fps with solid visuals on most games makes it a steal. You’re basically getting the performance of a mid range gaming pc out of a $250 console
I have the Seagate 1tb Expansion so atm with the Internet storage and that I actually have 21 games (majority AAA titles) and 22 apps with 68.5gb spare. Factor that with the fact you can cloud game of the S with certain games and the price point plus the load times, quick resume etc I actually think overall its the best console this gen considering the price. I will eventually upgrade to the X but not in a rush an will probably wait for if an upgraded X or PS5 cones out and keep the S as a travel console as its so tiny you can take it anywhere. The Series S is a lil beast of a console!
As a teacher, I was given a lot of Target gift cards through the course of the school year. I saved it all in the hopes of buying a ps5 to treat myself for the summer. Since there weren’t any in stock, I decided to just buy the series S. I only paid 5$ out of my own pockect 😊. The system is incredible and I would’ve still felt the same if I paid full price.
I got the series s as a secondary console and it works fine for me, the storage space is lacking but I just got a external USB card. Works for me so I can play starfield later next year lol
I wish it were better, but it's just meant to be a crippled next gen console anyways, at least in the sense that it couldn't match the power of the Xbox One X. All last gen games run at lower res like a One S because it simply can't run the One X settings, and One S settings are bad no matter how you look at it. Other than that, I love the S and the fact that it exists for $300 and now down to $200 at some stores. Like you said, it has all the features of the Series X and Quick Resume is so great to have. If you don't mind low res in last gen games and don't mind some games being capped as 30 fps, this thing is great. Recently I've been playing Fortnite on the Seires S on my 55" 4K TV and it's more than enough.
Been wanting to get the S but idk if the few games I want to play on it(Fable 2, Infinite, Conker Live & Reloaded) are worth the 3 hundred dollar investment. Secondly I already own a good amount of games on PlayStation so there wouldn’t be much I’d actually play or use it for. Hoping the new Fable is my breaking point on getting the console. Subbed and thanks for the video!💪
@@jeffthompson6162 that’s what I needed to hear lol. That’s gonna be sick for sure!!! Might also get it for the old school halo games that will be a game changer being able to play those split screen with the family.💪💪💪
I personally find that quick resume is a bit gimicky. I often find perform drops on quick resume games, and if a game requires an online connection you end up getting a disconnect and return to the games start menu which takes the exact same time as a cold launch.
As someone that has to travel every weekend, the Series S size is a godsend. I'd love a PS5 but that huge size played it's role on me going for the S instead. As well the size makes me remember the good old PS2 slim/ GameCube days.
Honestly, the most notable difference between the last generation and this one is the cpu. The Zen 2 chips in the Series X/S is a seriously powerful chip. The Jaguar cores in the previous gen were underpowered at the time. They were the reason most games ran at 30 fps on those systems.
People love to bash it but This thing is so Clutch In the new Gen It runs war zone 2.0 damn near flawless It’s here to stay with me another year or 2 honestly
I have my series s for one year and I really enjoy it a lots playing next gen games. But I sell it 3 week ago after finally got a chance to shop a brand new Xbox series x.
I have a PS4 and a gaming PC and also gaming laptop. The reason that I need to buy the Series S is because I cannot play Red Dead Redemption 1 on PS4 nor PC (i could use an emulator on the pc to run the game but this has it`s own share of problems and it`s better to just buy a second hand PS3). I had a PS3 but unfortunately sold it years ago (played a lot of RDR1 on it). Also the Series S will run the game at 60 fps not 20-25 fps like the PS3 - and that is a major reason to purchase it. Of course I will also get more games for it (maybe get the game pass). I only use 1080p monitors and TV`s so it will be perfect for what i need.
great to see your channel has gone back to normal content as it had been taken over with live streaming glad to be re-subbed "can binge on some of your content that i missed"
I have a pc but I cant play some games with good frame rate so I was hoping the series s might solve some of my issues. Found a second hand one and looking forward to buy it 🤩
The no optical drive is what kills it for me. I get that they don't have one in there to keep costs down, but it still really is a necessity for people like me. I have a physical library of original xbox and xbox 360 games and I still want to be able to utilize them. Not to mention it's extremely nice for dvds and blurays. So then you'll probably suggest that I get a series X. I honestly just don't want to fork over $550, so I'll wait for a black friday sale or price drop over time. Otherwise from what I've seen, the series S is fantastic.
I thought the Series S was $250 normally since it's £250 in the UK and has been on sale at £190 back in November and usually console prices just have the £ changed to a $ with the numbers staying the same, interesting how this seems to have changed as it seems to be $300 normally. I'm so tempted to get a Series S due to the low price but the small disc storage and high cost of the extra internal storage since you have to use that proprietary storage system puts me off.
The Series S is still amazing. I picked it up for 150 used in great quality. Try to get a gaming PC that gets a similar performance at that price tag. Also, it only uses around 70-100W of power which a gaming PC also doesn't reach usually.
I just scrolled for 5 minutes through Google with all the articles of game developers wanting to petition xbox because they don't want it to be mandatory that they have to make a series escort because it is a pain in the asses because of a lack of memory in the series s. These guys selling the X cause they prefer the S is insane. The only good thing about it is it's portable. And it's great for poor people that have walmart tvs. I want to get 1 for my 6 yr old son cause he's always on my series x and I have to play on the ps5 wich is great but the x has become my go to cause the ps5 always needs updates and I have limited time to play
I’ve had systems ever since the 2600. The Series S is probably my favorite of all time. I got it when I was laid up for and extended time so that might be why, but idk. 😂
There is an obvious downgrade in graphics but to be fair we're very spoiled with graphics nowadays. I personally don't mind the graphics that much and it's only a noticeable flaw in certain games (Hell let loose comes to mind) and with that being said it's not like the affected games look bad theres just some rendering issues. I got mine around thanksgiving last year and I use it every day and I love it. For casual gamers I don't think you can go wrong especially since I see these on sale for under 300 lately.
As a primary ps player who plans to get into pc gaming sometime later this year the series S seems perfect in the meantime as a secondary console.. I’ve never played halo and am curious to see what it’s all about.
I have been gaming my whole life since the original NES. They're is nothing wrong with the series S because it fits into it's niche perfectly. It does exactly what it's supposed to do, and even better than that considering this is the strangest gaming era of all time where you can't even walk into a store and just buy the two best next gen consoles unless you go online and pay well over 20 percent more than it should cost. The S is awesome...it has its negatives but every system does, the pros well outweigh the cons. It would almost be perfect if Microsoft wouldn't have restricted S/X game play on external SSD's.
In this day and age... where the price of GPUs is barely coming back down to Earth, I'd say that this (XboX series S) would be the best way to experience Game Pass. And to me it seems that Game Pass offers amazing value.
Series S is a genius strategy to get people into game pass. That being said, I think it can be sold even cheaper around $200. At that price point, most people will probably buy it "just because." This console + game pass is a dream come true for casual gamers though
On a mid tier 4K, 60HZ TV and having never played a 4K system before, I’m not sure if I really need the X. My biggest thing is the storage part and a worry that games like Forza 5 will not look good. I can snag the Series S for $300 less right now. Is the X $300 better or am I better off just getting the S with a fat Hard Drive and pocketing the savings
Get a cheep monitor it's like getting a flagship TV. I wish I knew yrs ago. I have tvs that cost $4k , and $2k and some games on the asus tuf monitor at 2k look as good and some game even better then the best tvs just the black levels aren't as good
I thought the series s was a silly idea when they announced it but looking back, there are so many people that bought a series s that haven’t owned an Xbox before.
I had the Xbox X One and the series s and I’ve played games on the series x and I love all 3 systems. I didn’t even notice a huge upgrade from the series s to series x so I’d say getting the series s is absolutely worth it. You can get it at Best Buy for $319 right now. I also have the ps5 so there was no reason to go to the series x.
I’m a ps5 guy but I purchased one for Black Friday from Target for 249.99 with a 50 dollar gift card. I’m waiting to open it up when I get the opportunity
i had been looking into getting a new xbox, (i had the OG xbox one...) and i decided on the series s. amazing choice i think beacause of its small size, plus performance, i found it for $230
Or for people who don't play video games and want to try, I say get the $15/month game pass subscription which gives you cloud gaming. This means you don't have to install the game and can be used on an old and slow laptop, as long as you have decent to fast internet connection. Give that a try and if you like it, get the xbox series s. That's what I did, even though I am a gamer.
I bought a Xbox Series S on sale and I will be collecting it soon. I came from the Xbox 360 slim. I wonder what my first experience will be compared to my Xbox 360 slim which blew my mind when I first played it. I had that Console for 4 years till some asshole stole it in 2019
i skipped the xbox one and ps4 gen all together since i build a pc. But because i play casual the last years,i figure that maybe is worth to get this than upgrade m pc. Tbh i was so happy with it and i got game pass ultimate for 3 years (100$ offer). Its not like a top tier pc but is cheap and the games gonna be optimize and playable for it for the next 5-6 years ? even for air play or as a media device is rly good and u can stream your games to your pc or ipad/phone if u want to. ofc if u want somthing more powerful for a 4k tv or more nvme storage go for the X or the ps5 (although the game pass and quick resume is nuts).
The requirement for the developers to produce titles and release for both Series consoles may go away, that would hurt the case for the longevity of the Series S. Just because this console lasted you two years means nothing about it lasting two more years. Also, anyone without a next gen console, should go with a Series X. This is due to all the reasons your just suggested why the S is great and then it also gives them an optical drive for movies and older and new games, way more power, and more initial storage. There has not been one new game that was not available to me for the Series X.
i used to play on a low end pc for mostly cs, rl, apex(on really low settings. currently my pc broke down beyond repair after 10 years of service(more worth it to build new). should i buy xbox series s or build another $500 pc ? my only concern is if i'll regret not buying a pc just for games like csgo, valorant. but definitely i'll perform better on games like apex due to the better graphics than my old pc. is giving up csgo more worth it than playing better on apex? should i play more casual games in the future ? xbox and pc owners please help🙏🏽
Is it true it gets too hot and fry the cpu? I live in a tropical country where 30°C is the average temp (no ac). I have never had an Xbox console, only played on Genesis, PS1/PS2, Nintendo DS/3DS and PC (budget). Many people said XSS gets hot easily and affect the cpu.
Ive been debating buying myself a series s as a belated birthday/christmas present to myself as i can get one for pretty cheap. I already own a switch and absolutely adore it but it has been showing its age, especially with the newer releases so I’ve been looking at getting a newer home console to go alongside it. I was debating between a series s or a ps4 really as there are a couple of the ps4 exclusives that I really wanna play (and i cannot afford the other consoles) but i think I’ll get more value out of a series s if only because game pass has so many more games on it than i could realistically physically buy. I think I will eventually buy a PlayStation as well but maybe ill wait until the next console comes out and get a secondhand ps5 or something.
Idk if it was me I would save up for ps5 or jump on a series S. PS4 seems like a waste considering it’s old and outdated. Maybe if the price was low enough for it.
I only play Warzone. And my Series S is what to expect For 300. I would prob be underwhelmed if I had a series x and can’t tell a 200 dollar Difference
@@DarrenExplorz yup it is and as a older adult late 40’s I only have time for one game and warzone2.0 looks really good. Just debating if I wanna get a monitor or continue on my 65” lg
@@DarrenExplorz I’m in my late 40’s and I only have time for one game and as I get older warzone seems to be my niche (titanfall2 I miss u). I’m contemplating getting a monitor to get the 120hz but my 65 lg is still good. But I love the way they made WZ2.0 harder for pc players
Series S is a pretty good console, and I really considered buying it, "gaming in 2k 60fps for only 300$?!" I thought, but then I looked up some information ab the ps5 and Series X, and finally bought the PS 5 because of God of War and Horizon.
I'm getting the Series X for the disc drive, the only other Xbox I have the is OG so the backwards compatibility will allow me to catch up, besides 360 and Xbox one games are dirt cheap.
I love the series s and I don’t care what they say about it I have for a year and big difference between my ps4 for 8 years I still got Nintendo switch lite is nice I’m a cheap poor guy
I really love mine too. I can’t wait to take it to a buddies more.
Don’t regret my purchase, I’m switching over from PS4 too, can’t wait to get mine in december.
The fact that we have the same story 😭 i have my ps4 for 8 years and now i upgraded to my first xbox (series s), i just got it today and i cannot wait to try it, everyone says is so good for its price and i was so hyped when i got it
@@albertalberto2288 but it’s true 😂
It’s next gen ps5 and Xbox series X/S
The series S is badass. If someone was really worried about getting the best resolution they should be on PC anyway. The series x and PS5 are phenomenal but there really is such a minute difference between them when it comes down to it. Especially if you don't have a monitor that supports the highest resolution and refresh rate anyways. The speed of this console compared to previous gen, the portability, features and price make it the best deal in gaming imo.
PREACH Jeff
agree 💯
Lg c1 oled 4k 120hz tv perfect match for PS5 ❤
I went from a 360 to a series s, it was like going from being drowned in oil to being in fresh air, such an awesome console
Woah, what an upgrade
That’s a hella upgrade. I remember jumping from the 360 to the one s and I was blown away lol and then I got the one x and then was even more blown away about how much power I was missing the last gen. That’s why rn I’m on a low budget rtx build to start off my pc gaming/building journey
Makes perfect sense as a casual gamer to me, its a low investment that gets you into the latest high end games and the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
I think that this will turn casuals into a bit more. It’s just that good.
It really does look great!
Darren child. Stil don’t know how QUK RESUME helps in warzone
@Martin Flores doesn't help with warzone. Anything that has to connect to a server it isn't much help. However all other games it's a big difference
Dude the screen is great! I plan on doing many reviews on and with it.
@@Omar-kl3xp Didn't aged well.
@@Omar-kl3xp Bro stop giving people shit advice, you’re wrong.
I feel like this little guy needs to be in every home
Yea it does. I got it since launch and never looked back. It still never make a sound “silent” and never heat and runs smoothly like a top gaming pc
Been playing my Series S with my nephews since they are over for Thanksgiving break. Having a blast with Madden 22 and NBA 2K23.
It really Rad
My entry into this gen was the Series S and loved it so much I got the Series X as well. Very capable machine at such a low cost of entry!
I have a LG OLED tv, which is very good for gaming, however I am struggling to justify the extra price for the X - other than storage. Have you got a 4k tv? Would you recommend forking out over twice the cost for the X?
I agree man. It is a great entry level console for many people
I had an lg c2 and I can say the difference is marginal. I sold my x to my buddy because I realized, for me, the s did more than enough
@@jdxcoffee this is exactly what I wanted to hear :) thank you!
My brand new Series S is my belated birthday present, as my birthday is in February.💚💙🎉🎊🎮

Great video. Getting a Series S for essentially $200 now (Target) is a no brainer for anyone who wants to get into gaming again.
I still love my series s it looks amazing on my 4k tv or my 1440p monitor and just game pass alone makes it worth the while
I really think it’s the Microsoft portable beast
I love my series s. Especially next to my PS5. Idk why, but the white on white look just comes more appealing to me. It just feels like this was how you should be gaming on the current generation. A Series S on one side, and a PS5 on the other with a nice 4K UHD TV in the middle 👍
Exactly how gaming should be💯
Have the series ⚡️for 2 yrs now and I can honestly say it’s my favorite system hands down… if you’re on the fence… hop off an snag an Series S,you won’t be disappointed.

It really is rad. I am stoked how they are making stuff for it. It is a beast.
And Not Working Class 😂
yeap 1440p 60 fps in cod warzone.. still a champ console with lots of life in it
I am so impressed by it.
Thank you!
Its a fun console
Cheers!
such a good mood ,thanks for the video man
I have the PS5 and the Series S, and both are absolutely great! I also have a 144Hz gaming monitor, so I get 120Hz on both systems.
Overall, Series S is the best bargain for this generation
true. Series S is just super silent lol
what a beast
Too many influencers stating the Series S is better than the X. What nonsense.
Not sure if you've seen what Epic have done with Fortnite, it runs in Unreal Engine 5.1 and they got it to run on the series S at 60fps. So impressed
It’s quite impressive
I have the Seagate 1tb Expansion so atm with the Internet storage and that I actually have 21 games (majority AAA titles) and 22 apps with 68.5gb spare. Factor that with the fact you can cloud game of the S with certain games and the price point plus the load times, quick resume etc I actually think overall its the best console this gen considering the price. I will eventually upgrade to the X but not in a rush an will probably wait for if an upgraded X or PS5 cones out and keep the S as a travel console as its so tiny you can take it anywhere. The Series S is a lil beast of a console!
With kids. Our S gets more action than my X. Plus small footprint make its a great travel box
Works for me so I can play starfield later next year lol
right on man
I wish it were better, but it's just meant to be a crippled next gen console anyways, at least in the sense that it couldn't match the power of the Xbox One X.
It is!! I think that it is well worth it for the long haul. I think it belongs in all gamers desks.

that’s a really good deal smh I should’ve did that; I just bought mine secondhand from a pawn shop on ebay for like $215 abt a month ago
It is a killer deal!!
I picked up one a month ago from target for $250 and came with an additional free controller
I personally find that quick resume is a bit gimicky.
I often find perform drops on quick resume games, and if a game requires an online connection you end up getting a disconnect and return to the games start menu which takes the exact same time as a cold launch.
2 years already 😵💫 I always get a new Xbox every gen but finally getting one
As someone that has to travel every weekend, the Series S size is a godsend. I'd love a PS5 but that huge size played it's role on me going for the S instead.
As well the size makes me remember the good old PS2 slim/ GameCube days.
Dude the size is clutch. Add that display and you’re killing it!!
and you can play PS2/Gamecube games on Series S as well, i mean through emulation. : )
Switched from a ps4 this Black Friday to Xboxs and can confirm, it’s a very big difference, even for a hardcore gamer like me
It’s really impressive. Even to think launch ps4 was more expensive that long ago.
Honestly, the most notable difference between the last generation and this one is the cpu. The Zen 2 chips in the Series X/S is a seriously powerful chip. The Jaguar cores in the previous gen were underpowered at the time. They were the reason most games ran at 30 fps on those systems.
This was the video that convinced me to get the series s instead of the series x. Thanks man
I love my series s! I’ve had it almost a year now. It’s setting next to my ps5. Game pass on this system is excellent!
Coming from a long PlayStation buyer when I bought my series s it was night and day different and I love it
It is a must have this gen.
With the atrocious pricing of gpus and my ageing cpu, itll cost me more to have this level of gaming performance.
Series s looking really inviting
People love to bash it but This thing is so Clutch In the new Gen It runs war zone 2.0 damn near flawless It’s here to stay with me another year or 2 honestly
I just picked up the xbox series x the other day and the quick resume feature is by my favorite feature of the console and it saves so much time
It really is something else
If I want to play the game in xbox series s, am I must have a subscription on game pass? Or just buy like in PSN?
What? Love the name of this channel-subbed✊️
great to see your channel has gone back to normal content as it had been taken over with live streaming glad to be re-subbed "can binge on some of your content that i missed"
Thanks man. welcome back
I have a pc but I cant play some games with good frame rate so I was hoping the series s might solve some of my issues.
Just bought my series S and I’m just so happy with it. Glad I didn’t spend on the series X. It works perfectly for me as a casual gamer.
Honestly 1080p is enough with 100-120 hz in video game for me personally
As a primary ps player who plans to get into pc gaming sometime later this year the series S seems perfect in the meantime as a secondary console.. I’ve never played halo and am curious to see what it’s all about.
Did you got one?
I have been gaming my whole life since the original NES. They're is nothing wrong with the series S because it fits into it's niche perfectly. It does exactly what it's supposed to do, and even better than that considering this is the strangest gaming era of all time where you can't even walk into a store and just buy the two best next gen consoles unless you go online and pay well over 20 percent more than it should cost. The S is awesome...it has its negatives but every system does, the pros well outweigh the cons. It would almost be perfect if Microsoft wouldn't have restricted S/X game play on external SSD's.
I agree with him. I have both on two different display setups, and I don't see a big difference between S and X.
The S is 🔥, I take mine in a shoulder bag on weekend camper breaks. It's the ultimate gamepass / fortnite machine.
I hope it still holds up, I just bought one
I can confirm it looks great but also storage can be solved With an external drive
Series S is mind-blowing for the price point! Have had mine just over a year and just got a Series X this week
I have the serie s and serie x both perfect consoles.
They are a great one two punch.
That monitor is so cool! But didn’t it burn one of your series S machines out? Or was that just because you had other things attached?
I just bought one today 😃 so excited i stopped playing for a few years (kids)
i used to play on a low end pc for mostly cs, rl, apex(on really low settings. currently my pc broke down beyond repair after 10 years of service(more worth it to build new). should i buy xbox series s or build another $500 pc ? my only concern is if i'll regret not buying a pc just for games like csgo, valorant. but definitely i'll perform better on games like apex due to the better graphics than my old pc. is giving up csgo more worth it than playing better on apex? should i play more casual games in the future ? xbox and pc owners please help🙏🏽
Ps5/series S combo is goated
I’m literally trying to get an S to play older games haha!😂👌😂😂😭
I got the steamdeck for emulations.
@@jdxcoffee the steam deck is dope! but the upscaling on the X and S is phenomenal!🔥🔥🔥
Still gonna pick one up because this thing is the true s lol Xbox definitely learned from the launch of the original Xbox one
I only play
Warzone. And my
Series S is what to expect
For 300. I would prob be underwhelmed if I had a series x and can’t tell a 200 dollar
Difference
Totally.
@@DarrenExplorz yup it is and as a older adult late 40’s I only have time for one game and warzone2.0 looks really good. Just debating if I wanna get a monitor or continue on my 65” lg
@@jdxcoffee what the coffee u drink?
@@DarrenExplorz I’m in my late 40’s and I only have time for one game and as I get older warzone seems to be my niche (titanfall2 I miss u). I’m contemplating getting a monitor to get the 120hz but my 65 lg is still good. But I love the way they made WZ2.0 harder for pc players
Dam my bad for the twosome 😂
Series S is a pretty good console, and I really considered buying it, "gaming in 2k 60fps for only 300$?!" I thought, but then I looked up some information ab the ps5 and Series X, and finally bought the PS 5 because of God of War and Horizon.
That's cool but I still think if your main console is the PS5 then the Series S is defiantly worth it as a secondary console at a later date.
I'm getting the Series X for the disc drive, the only other Xbox I have the is OG so the backwards compatibility will allow me to catch up, besides 360 and Xbox one games are dirt cheap.
The only downside is that it’s digital only :(. I love physical media due to it just being so much cheaper to play 1 year old games
