I believe he tells Misasa that he is originally from China. So I would believe he is not from the inside.
The scary thing is that Agito managed to reduce the lag between his modes to nothing but milliseconds. I think he only lost to Kuroki because Kuroki was such a monster himself too and was honestly the only mofo who could adapt to Kanoh evolving literally in the middle of a fight.

As a child, Agito was subjected to a ritual normally used to make very deadly poisons. Agito was locked in a room with a dozen others for several days. The last one standing would be allowed to live and walk out. When Metsudo finally found him, he was surrounded by bloody corpses. This technique is used with very poisonous insects. They'd put centipedes in a jar and they'd eat other. The last one alive would be ground up and made into poison.
They were locked in there for three months (or was intended to be) normally they kill each other on the first day and then the reward is that there is just enough air, food, and water for one person to just barely survive for three months, which forces them to kill each other right off the bat as otherwise they'd die. The Kengan chairmen knowing about the Worm's Gu ritual rushes to stop it but Agito had already become the poison.

JUVIR • evolution can take you only so far you need experience to to evolve and to build upon that to the next stage of evolution, I also don’t see the problem with evolution but I think he means instead of trying to defeat his opponents in the most efficient way which is going animalistic (for example) he should not rely on that and hone his own and others techniques so he should avoid that
On the recent chapters of Kengan Omega Agito once again evolved he doesn't have that delay when switching forms. Kuroki Gensai also said that when he and Agito fought again he will surely lose

I do indeed like the idea of Kanoh Agito's Formless style being pure manifestation of Bruce Lee's words "Be as water". Lends to the artistic freedom of how its practitioners are drawn with their 'watery' effects when evading attacks, while in reality they are just moving in very quick, fluid motions.

@@MajorLawliet full spoilers Ohma apparently didn't die, cloning brought back almost every character that died, and the kengan association isn't as big and strong as it's implied to be in ashura. It's still a great read, but it's just frustrating

Not to mention, this was already implied way back with one of Hayami's cooperators only working for him to get access to *them* which he failed. We then see a slice of them at the end, implicating much more is afoot than said before.
