I still don't know why you disconnected the battery.

  • @annaohlson3791

What you did was show me where the horn was located. You really don't need to disconnect the neg side of bat just to remove the horn. What I didn't see was if the horn was really bad. You said take it to a junk yard and test it????

    • @DIYwithMichaelBorders

Hey there thanks for viewing and commenting. Remember..safety first..anytime you work on car dealing with electrical connections, its recommended to disconnect Neg term of BAT. It is recommended...Whether you do this is up to you!. Thanks again for viewing!

My Hanes manual says my horn relay (1996 Accord) is on the left in the center console. Any ideas how to get to it? I read to comments saying they heard the relay clicking noise coming from near or behind the radio. hELP

Current is not flowing through that wire unless the horn is pushed.

Thanks for the follow up. We recommend disconnecting the black negative cable from your battery and leaving disconnected for a minimum of five minutes.
This will allow your system to do a full reset. After five minutes, resecure cable to battery and start engine.

      Crystal Clod
Thanks for watching Crystal. This is definitely more common than you think.
When you experience a horn that refuses to silence, it’s almost always an electrical wiring issue.
      Here’s what we recommend.
      1. Disconnect Battery cables from Battery to remove all electrical power to car.
      2. Complete a thorough inspection of all electrical wiring that feeds into horn as well as feeds out of horn. Verify all connection points are secure. Follow the wires & make sure there is no signs of stress anywhere on wires.
In most cases, people that experience this usually finds a loose connection point & just by tightening it, it fixes horn.
Let’s start there! Keep us posted!

Thanks for checking out the video. I don’t recommend cutting Wire...that would require you to re-spice Wire & then re-feed wires correctly into connection point...a lot of extra unnecessary work.
