The greatest civilization of all time has come to nothing for the LORD is the GOD of Recompense. It applies to all nations.
      (Jeremiah 51:55 - 58)
For the LORD is laying Babylon waste and stilling her mighty voice. Their waves roar like many waters; the noise of their voice is raised, for a destroyer has come upon her, upon Babylon; her warriors are taken; their bows are broken in pieces, for the LORD is a GOD of Recompense; HE will surely repay.
I will make drunk her officials and her wise men, her governors, her commanders, and her warriors; they shall sleep a perpetual sleep and not wake, declares the KING, WHOSE Name is the LORD of Hosts.
Thus Says the LORD of Hosts: The broad wall of Babylon shall be leveled to the ground, and her high gates shall be burned with fire. The peoples labor for nothing, and the nations weary themselves only for fire.

@@raashidmohammed801 NO Rami said "Iraq was invaded for so-called “weapons of mass destruction”, did they have like super nukes or something? no," WELL that is incorrect HE did have WMDs they're called Chemical Weapons. Iraq actively researched and later employed weapons of mass destruction (WMD) from 1962 to 1991 and began limited work in the civilian nuclear field in the late 1960s. In the early 1970s, then-Vice President and head of the Iraq Atomic Energy Commission (IAEC) SADDAM HUSSEIN ordered the establishment of a nuclear weapons programme. In 1981, Israel bombed the Iraqi nuclear reactor at Osirak. By 1991 Iraq HAD a robust covert programme THAT included a complete nuclear weapon design and roughly 36.3 kilograms of weapons-useable HEU in the form of research reactor fuel. He DIDN'T want the Nuke to protect Iraq but to use against Iran and Israel. Saddam Hussein was condemned internationally for using chemical weapons against Iranian and Kurdish civilians during and after the Iran-Iraq War. In the 1980s, Saddam pursued an extensive biological weapons programme

He is the winner in my book.
They tell people that are uneducated about him and the real history bad things about what actually happened and the first expression about someone is what they believe, it’s human nature.
America felt the need to stop this man, his power and his nation because they felt threatened by it all. Of the progress of the great nation of Iraq, its strength and its power.
A great powerful leader like Saddam will of course have great pride in what he has build.
And that is what actually got him to lose it all.
One leader feeling inscure about his own possessions and the power of the others and one great leader and his pride.
    It’s all human nature.
May we all learn from our own past and make sure it does not happen again and effect innocent lives.

Not only did Saddam target Kurds, he also (indirectly) killed thousands of Shi’ites, estimated to be around 100,000, who were mostly civilians, during the quelling of the Shaabaniya Uprising.
Saddam was insecure about his possessions and the power of others (Iran) in 1980, that’s why your “glorious” leader invaded Iran and failed miserably.

@Shaheen Polus to those who don’t live there, looking back for us could draw such a conclusion when looking at what’s going on there now. I agree though that it wasn’t good at all most likely and only those who genuinely lived in Iraq can answer to what the best decision was. Either way, I don’t think the Iraq war should have happened. We can’t go and spread our western values and topple dictators as clearly what comes after isn’t democracy and a model nation from which to build upon - that’s where the US diplomacy is just a failure with wishful thinking
