That Saddam was the face of the people of Iraq, like being said by Prophet Muhammad PBUH, what I understand the meaning is, "Your leader is the reflections of you". the British didn't place the ethnic and religious groups to where they live now and have been living for the past few hundred years. And geographically it makes sense to form one state out of the former Mesopotamia. If you would create a Kurd state in the North, a Sunni State in the middle and a Shia state in the South, you would have three economically unviable states, two of them landlocked. Those states would be easy prey to more powerful neighbours like Turkey or Persia. And what about the other smaller ethnic groups, the Assyrian Christians, the Yessidis, etc. ... they still wouldn't have their own state and be suppressed minorities.
      Blaming everything on the British and the borders that were drawn after WWI is cheap.

      Let me start by saying that I am an actual Iraqi from the south (Basra). And I would certainly say that the country has great potential. I can see it becoming just like any other advanced gulf Arab country (i.e. UAE, Qatar, Kuwait etc) if not more... If and only if security stabilizes... This country has been a conflict zone more than any other country in human history. Conflict that has sent the country back to the stone ages. Once security gets under control, and the infrastructure gets rebuilt, it can be a great hub in the middle east... Fundamentally it ticks every box... This is proven by what ancient Iraq have accomplished some thousands years ago

    • @dripstar6183

      @@SuperKINGXON I’m also Iraqi, and I can tell you.. that there’s a world of issues in Iraq right now, mostly due to the corrupt leadership... Iraq used to have one ‘dictator’ but now they have hundreds of dictators.

    • @SuperKINGXON
      @SuperKINGXON 3 года назад +6

      @@dripstar6183 it's not about dictators, it's about competence. The leadership in Iraq right now may not be competent enough to handle such extraordinary circumstances that no other country faces. Therefore the mission to reforming the country and getting it back to its feet requires strong allies that can watch its back. Iraq leaders unfortunately chose unstable and weak allies to begin with which has spiraled the country into the mess we see today. Leaders in Iraq need to put thier emotions and beliefs aside and start thinking logically of how to strengthen the nation on all side in way possible. It should become a smoother ride as things pick up (with backing of a strong Allies of course in case of any threat) its simple really

    • @dripstar6183
      @dripstar6183 3 года назад +2

      @@SuperKINGXON that is true I agree with that... but most of the leaders in Iraq right now are Iran puppets who are serving Iran... they pilfered an estimated 1.7 trillion dollars (according to the U.S ~ Pompeo) sent it to Europe so their families could live in nice mansions very comfortably from national resources... they haven’t built 1 thing for the country... and I challenge any Iraqi to say that they have provided 1 extra thing for Iraq... all the infrastructure right now in Iraq was built by the Saddam government.
      The only thing extra thing that they provided is they let people slash and whip themselves and their kids in public for some b.s religious ceremony which Saddam banned as he called it “uncivilised”.. thats the only thing they changed in the country lol.

      I hate it because this Doctor in a 30 Min Interview (And his book, Which is fantastic) really does actually describe the Psychology of Dictators better than anybody I have ever seen, better than Albert Speer's description of Hitler, Khruschev description of Stalin or Li Zhishui description of Mao. But the dumbshits here are more focused on the "Ehh" and Larry David jokes. The story about the Saddam Paintings are symbols of "how much people love me", "Their replacement is twice as bad as the person I replaced", and "This is normal for Iraq", show the twisted alternate universe Dictators live in, how Westerners have no clue what they are doing (note: I am not saying something should not be done regarding dictators, im saying that you should know your enemy better) and his analysis shows that as much as we want to blame one singular person for this, when the entire system is rotten, it effects everybody.
