This sound takes me back to the days when life was really simple! .......i was onky born in the early 90's but my connection with their music feels like i was born in an earlier point in time rather than the 90's. Funny enough, i don't play regular kind of music like my generation does. I play majorly oldskool highlife and Oldskool rap music i.e 2pac and dem old songs.
    It's July 17th, 2024 anyone???

70s/80s, my dad will always go to Umuahia on hearing new release from Oriental Brothers. My dad had all the albums then. He will put the speaker of his celebrated turn table on a clay water pot for real sound... Oh! Any time I listen to Oriental music, the memory of my dad envelopes me. Hail Oriental Brothers, Hail the Igbo prowess.

The music says that good things don't discriminate against anybody. The song then says having a Mother, being born in a royal family, your brother is rich, you have rich friends, owning a Honda 175 and having children are all blessings from God and that these good things can happen to anybody.

Dearly beloved: even when you understand the lyrics, the message/lesson cuts across race, tribe, region, faith, culture and time. Ibos are really really blessed both entrepreneurially, physically, artistically and now linguistically. Powerful language loaded with metaphors, idioms, proverbs, meaning etc. Study the songs more deeply pls. Enjoy 🎉🎉❤❤😅

The song is saying, there's no one that repulses (reject) good thing.
The words "Ihe Oma" means "Good Thing"
The chorus of the song kept asking is there anyone that repulses good thing? At the same time, answering that no one that doesn't want good thing.
Let's keep asking our Almighty LORD, whether He will answer us.
      He further asked:
"Toyota vehicle" is there anyone who wouldn't love it?
"Mercedes-Benz" is there anyone whose mother's place wouldn't welcome it?
Honda 175 (it's a model of trending Motor Cycle then) is there one who will repulse it?
"Better woman" is there one who would repulse it?
"My Dad is a King" is there anyone that would repulse it?
"That my brother has become wealthy" is there any who would repulse it in this world?
He turned around and asked his colleague
Dan-Satch where is your own Motor-cycle?
Dan-Satch replied "See me, see motor-cycle"
Oh! God, Oh! Creator, my God save us in this world.
Mr James Azuwuike lets keep praying to God, our Lord, to see if He will save us, to see if He will guide us.
Good thing! There's no one that repulses good thing
Good thing, there's no one that repulses you.
Have anyone seen good thing that is greater than child in this world?
Good thing that is greater than child, who have seen it?
Good thing that is greater than child, who have seen it in this world?
My Good thing! My good thing! My Good thing! Is there any that repulses it.
Good thing! Is there anyone that repulses it?
Good thing, there's no one that repulses it.
He that have people is better than one with money
Good thing! Is there one that repulses it?
"My Dad is a King" is there anyone that would repulse it?
"That my brother has become wealthy" is there any who would repulse it?
"That My friends have become rich" is there one that would reject that.
"My own brother have become rich" who wouldn't want it

When I want to 'come home' I listen to the old oriental Brothers records because coming from Owerri, nothing beats the Owerri dialect they used to sing! It is like my mom's Ofe Owerri each time! May the Lord remember the them.

I started listening to the music of ORIENTAL BROTHERS INTERNATIONAL these 5 guys from the Eastern part of Nigeria from my cousin's Philip stereo player from 1974 when they produced their first album titled IHE CHI NYEREM. I am still playing their music to date. I love them. May the Soul of Dr. Sir Worrior Rest In Peace. He was my very good friend when I was in school at Owerri. Do you know there was this album produced by The ORIENTAL BROTHERS around 1977 titled OYENUSI that was lost. The back is IKWUOLA TAXS. It was considered as their best record ever produced.

There no one who doesn’t like good things. So he went on to mention good things and ask again who doesn’t like to be associated with good things.
      The song is highly philosophical
