- So who does want to be a Millionaire? It's hard to comprehend the success that the television show and the video game have achieved on a global basis. The first game smashed sales records becoming reaching a million sales in the fastest time ever in the UK, and quickly became a family favorite. Many people enjoy playing along with show shouting answers at the TV and sharing the tension. This game allows you to take the hot seat personally and win a virtual million. The format of the show involves contestants answering questions correctly to win an increasingly large amount of cash. Who Wants to be a Millionaire is easy at first but becomes more difficult as the show progresses. Contestants have three lifelines available with them to help with the questions they don't know, Ask the Audience, 50-50, and phone a friend. The 2nd edition is much more than the first game but with additional questions. If you watch the show, why not take part in the show? See how hard the questions are when stress is involved.
I must say it’s a pretty good CGI rendition of Chris Tarrant for the time
That's impressive graphics for the PS2 era, there was worse facial CGI on some PS3 titles!
looks damn good for the era, only thing that makes it look as uncanny as it does is the lack of facial expressions

PC version did not have CGI Chris Tarrant thank goodness otherwise my childhood would be scared.

I think it looks weird that he is seemingly talking to no one and the audience is clapping at an empty seat when the camera pans around. No wonder he looks ill, this version of Chris has serious schizophrenia.

The PC version where it was just his voice as the camera floated around the studio was better. It looks like Tarrant, but as a melted waxwork malfunctioning Freddy Fazbear anamatronic nightmare.

Nice to see the PS2 version has the actual question, final answer and right answer cues sorted out for every question! (In the PS1, Dreamcast and PC versions, Questions 6-10 and the £2,000 question and right answer cue, (apart from £32,000) Questions 10-14 had the £64,000 question and right answer cue, (Apart from £500,000 which used the £32,000 right answer cue) and Questions 6-15 all used the £8,000/£250,000 final answer cue! Very muddling indeed!
But the wrong answer cues are still screwed... the first 5 questions wrong cue is there, but the Q6-10 wrong cue is the $2,000/$64,000 wrong cue slowed down to 25%, and the Q11-15 wrong cue is the $2,000/$64,000 wrong cue at normal speed. And there is not the actual Q15 wrong cue, either. Maybe that's a good thing, though, considering it does give me nightmares every time I hear it.
Now this is a classic who wants to be a millionaire game with Chris Tarrant just purchased one on Xbox one it isn't the same without original theme too.😬

There is also a German release of this game with a different presenter.
Without realizing it, I think these games foreshadowed the clock format that was used on the syndicated series a few years later. I remember my version at least having a clock.
