    The real test for snow tires on a RWD car. Go up a hill half way and come to a complete stop. Then continue to drive. If you don’t get stuck after stopping on an incline, then you have a great set of snow tires!

    You can't beat a good set of winter tires. Not only do they help you accelerate, but shorten your stopping distances a lot. All vehicles should run winter tires, provided you live somewhere that gets snow in the winter.

    Most safe configuration for winter ROAD driving: audi quatro fwd (or so) on studded tires Nokian Hakkapelitta. At the bottom of rating rwd on summer tires. Compromise is in between. Stupidly, studded tires are prohibited in some countries.

    I live in Minneapolis. And had an 1979 Olds 98. The big boat. When I brought the car for $350 it had Blizzak on them. Working at the airport I had a long drive to and from work. I lived in Columbia Heights. About 25 miles drive. I was coming home one night and was on 35w the winter before the 35w bridge collapse. But that car took those tight curve on 35W going toward Johnson st. Those tires was the truth. Now the bad. I didn't change them once spring it. By the time July got here. Those tires was no good. SO PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE take those tires off in warm weather. They are not made for warm temps. You talking about $1,000 set of tires if you get them from Walmart. I just look them up. They are not worth losing within a year. Go to a junk yard and find you a second set for the summer time.

    How does it feel from stop going up a hill? Does it have problem with traction and making it up hills when there is no momentum?

    • @jonahvlogsdiy4143
      @jonahvlogsdiy4143  Год назад

      Great question. We don't have steep hills in Windsor. A small incline is no problem but a 45degree? not sure..

    Would putting on snow tires then also putting some sand bags or something in the back work even better?

    • @jonahvlogsdiy4143
      @jonahvlogsdiy4143  Год назад +1

      If you feel the mustang still slipping, I would recommend it. But mine held up great & I don't use them anymore. You're just adding extra weight and gas consumption is higher with that extra weight. It's up to your descretion since only you know the feel of your mustang when you drive it.

    i just moved to minnesota from florida & i have a 2014 mustang but people are saying its not worth getting snow tires bc its a rear wheel… did u have any issues all winter?

    • @jonahvlogsdiy4143
      @jonahvlogsdiy4143  Год назад +2

      I would suggest winter tires for your mustang for sure. Minnesota gets a lot of snow. The rear wheel will fish tail on you. Very dangerous. You need winter tires because it's rear wheel. You will feel the difference. I had no issues with the winter tires on the mustang.I love them.
