      19:48 Correction Four Sword Adventures was released in 2004 please do your research before you misinform people! Also to critique your video for the last variants of the Cukeman for being the weirdest enemies it's uncreative & lacking you could've put the snapdragon from the Triforce of the Gods instead of rehashing the Cukeman do better! I'm a Zelda expert & what pisses me off the most is where people get the dates wrong! Minish Cap reelased in 2005 not 2004.

    I always assumed the gold skultullas were part of the curse, not a naturally-occurring creature. It’s the “key” to the curse: if these greedy people want to get un-cursed, they’ll have to reward their savior handsomely, because nobody’s doing that massive chore for free.

      There's a bit of dialogue most people miss from the father of the cursed family. He only wants Link to kill the first half to save his sons.
      Once you've dealt with 50, he'll thank you for your help and say you don't have to worry about him or his _half_ of the curse.
      The amount it takes to cure him subtly hints that he was cursed and his sons were likely cursed for association much like Jovani's Cat in TP.

    Well, in the first Zelda the Wall Masters come out of the walls, grab you and drag you into the wall. Pretty legit name if you ask me.

  • @dalejhunter1
    @dalejhunter1 8 месяцев назад +86

    Fun fact: The Wallmasters in Zelda 1 come from the walls, not the ceiling. It was only later that they come from the ceiling, though I think this variation is called "Floormasters".
    Also Leevers came from Zelda 1 too. They appear on most beach and sandy areas.

    • @domennysometimesplays2484
      @domennysometimesplays2484 8 месяцев назад +6

      Floormasters are the variation that walks around the floor that appeared in Ocarina of Time.
      OoT has both, Wallmasters come from the ceiling (Navi always spoils where they spawn) and Floormasters can be found walking around in some dungeons and, when defeated, they divide into 3 smaller versions. If a small floormaster grabs you, they'll suck on your health and will grow back.

    • @moccaroon
      @moccaroon 8 месяцев назад +3

      Floormasters are from the ground, like the above comment said. But they also appear in Wind Waker as the dark pits that grow an arm if Link or his companion gets too close in the Earth and Wind temples and certain caverns. They work more like your typical Wallmaster though, where they'll bring Link back to the beginning (or put the sages in jail). A great rule of thumb is if they're on the floor, it's a Floormaster, if it's literally anywhere else, it's a Wallmaster.
      (Side note, I'm so disappointed they didn't call the Gloom Hands from totk Floormasters. Such a missed opportunity!)

    I'd probably say that one of the weirdest enemies I would have picked would be the Geldman from Link Between Worlds. At a surface level, they look just like the ones from LTTP, but if you use the sand rod on them, they pop out of the ground and reveal themselves as buff sand dudes wearing speedos and just book it away across the desert. It's bizarre and unexpected (not to mention hilarious) so it's defiantly weirder than your average enemy. Also the Bomskit from Twilight Princess is pretty out of nowhere too. It doesn't exactly attack but it just runs around like a derpy bird thing pooping bombs if provoked.

  • @pixelbro99

    I always have thought that the Anubis enemy from OoT's Spirit Temple was kind of weird. It only shows up like a couple of times, making it one of the most rare enemies in the series as a whole.
    What I like about its design is how it mirrors the player's movement and can only be defeated by fire. While it isn't much of a threat so much as it is a puzzle maneuvering around bottomless pits and switches to get it into a position where it will die to a fire pillar, it makes for an interesting obstacle nonetheless. You can also just use Din's Fire or a Fire Arrow on it and, therefore, circumnavigate the puzzle aspect of its design entirely. The fact that you can cheese it in this way makes its existence feel like somewhat of a joke if you bothered getting either fire-based spell. 😂

    Really, Dead Hand is much more bizarre in comparison. Heck, I'm surprised you didn't even briefly mention the cousin of wallmasters (who do come out of the walls in the original Zelda title); floormasters. They like walking around on the ground. If attacked, the hand will split into three smaller hands. The smaller hands love trying to grab Link just so they can grow back to full size.

    I just noticed the Desert Men in ALTTP are named "Geldman". "Geld" being the English prononciation of "Gerudo". (The L and R have the same sound, the U is the connection between two consonants, and the O can be ignored). I checked for the original japanese name, and I was right, they're called "Gerudo Man". Which means the desert in OoT was named after that monster.

    About the Rupee Wraith (I think it was called) from Four Swords, I think Minish Cap reuses that enemy's sprite, for that ghost that plagues some man in bed in the sky. It is quickly dealt with via the Gust Jar I think, so, it's more of a reference included in a sidequest, than as an enemy, as, if I recall correctly, you never get attacked by that ghost, and it only exists in the game to be sucked up to save a sick man plagued by the ghost

And then there's only a single Tekuri in the whole game, guarding the entrance to the Romani road.

    It's a bubble of fire. Not that outlandish when you learn how to make actual flammable bubbles. Also "chronologically" isn't production order,it's where the game falls on the timeline. LttP may have been the next released, but it takes place before Zelda 1 so it's definitely not the next game chronologically(especially when the 2 preceding games aren't even canonical).Pols Voice isn't a mistranslation either.Yes,the weakness is removed for obvious reasons,but just because the weakness isn't exploitable doesn't mean it stops disliking loud noises.Gloom and Malice aren't the same either.
