Nice to know that it was still possible to listen to the microphone in Windows 11. When I sing along with RUclips videos, I also use a 'Transpose Key' extension with Microsoft Edge. That way, I can have a karaoke sing-along with every song in a key that I can handle.

this is wrong!
this method gives you delay with echo...
to really listen to mic, you wanna go not to RECORDING but to PLAYBACK tab and then in SPEAKER>LEVELS options UNMUTE Microphone and also you can adjust the volume of mic playback

there is. the settings menu in the video is buried under Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Change system sounds. you can also get there immediately by searching 'change system sounds'

There's a 'Levels' tab to the right of the 'Listen' tab. Click on that and set 'yer level to 10%. For quick access, I copied the location of 'mmsys.cpl' shown in the search box (C:\WINDOWS\system32) and made it a new shortcut on my desktop.
