  • Taurus 856: Malfunctions and Rifling.
    FTH-202 Assignment 3.
There are two parts to this assignment.
    Part One:
According to your understanding of the cycle of operations within the revolver platform, what malfunctions (e.g., failure to lock, failure to fire, etc.) might an operator experience if the components below were to fail? Remove the side plate from your revolver and point to these components as you articulate these points.
    Hand
    Sear
    Cylinder Stop
    Hammer Strut
IMPORTANT NOTE: When discussing these malfunctions, articulate how the cycle of operations would be affected and use the proper "failure to..." terminology.
    Part Two:
Demonstrate how to properly measure twist rate in the revolver platform, according to the guidance given in this module's lecture.
Please call out the results you find, and explain why experience like this is important for the average gunsmith to gain. After finding a measurement, verify in the video that your results are indicative of what the twist rate should be. Make sure to cite the reference you used to verify the twist rate you measured.
    Video Requirements and Resources:
Your video submission should not exceed 10 minutes and should include all criteria listed in the grading rubric.

You do know, right, that the Model 66 at the beginning of the video is a quite old model (for a Taurus).

Not sure what point you're making.
