  • Earlier this week, on International Women’s Day, Scotland’s first minister Nicola Sturgeon issued a historic apology on behalf of the government. Apologising for the convictions and executions of more than 4,000 people in Scotland accused of witchcraft between the 1500s and 1700s she stated, “...those who met this fate were not witches, they were people, and they were overwhelmingly women.” Today we’re joined by white witch Charlotte Clarke, aka ‘’The Lady of Light’, to tell us what it is like to be a witch in a modern world and what this apology means to her.
