This is called bengali aatpoure saree draping style . This is actually the easiest and most comfortable way of wearing a saree . Aatpoure means asta prahar . Thats why women used to wear saree for the day long in this way to feel comfortable.

My grandmother never in her life wore saree in any other drape other than Sidha pala, Odia one is called Sidha Pala, both have their own uniqueness, hence respect and acceptance is the only way 😊, so let's not jump to conclusions without having any prior knowledge.
