Can / Will "talk Skynyrd" all day every day, so these YTs like gravy & biscuits. Hehe ... Signed, A yankee who's dug this band since first hearing Pronounced one summertime evening 1975 - it WAS love @ first listening. Row of cars parked the hangout spot - a building's side adjacent a railroad track - some van whose owner I didn't know a few vehicles away, I heard some cool music wafting from his stereo system over to us. Caught my ear ... I waited a couple more songs - also very good - and then moseyed over to the van, him sitting in its open sliding door. "Who are these guys?" I asked. "Lynyrd Skynyrd." "That Freebird band?" "Yeah, the album it's on." I stood there and listened to the entire thing - a cassette tape. HA, my ride still had 8tracks. If it was 1977 at the Hilton, They played JFK Stadium with 105.,000 tickets sold out gig. I remember that concert. Folk had come all the way from Jax to see them. When Skynyrd finished, a lot of the crowd on the field left( I had met a bunch from Jacksonville there).... and Frampton had to follow them.

Trying to find out about a video i came across on toutube the other day. This video was taped in 1999 i do believe. The video showed some skynyrd fans breaking into a place in Jacksonville FL. That was supposed to be a rehearsal studio for skinyrd and the 38 special band. In the video it shows then coming across a bunch of passes to different tours. The torture tour and there was others. And on one wall there was a drawing similar to the drawing in the i think was a 1979 gold platinum album. And also a drawing of a baseball with a gun in the middle and the words American Lynyrd skynyrd circling it.and there was other cool stuff. I'm assuming this was real but why was it not preserved if they hungout there and rehearsed. Does Craig remember anything about that. Just curious.
This is good stuff. But Gary claims he got his Les Paul from a woman who’s ex left it at her how. That what he said in his rig rundown a few years ago.
Always enjoy the stories, thanks Craig

How many fights did ronnie get into with rock bands
I don’t hear the fiddle on “All I Can Do Is Write It In A Song” either.

Theres no fiddle in that song! A mandolin played by Barry Lee Harwood is the only guest musician on that song.

A fluffer I guess you could call Dean a fluffer. A person that got whatever the band needed
Well, not by today's definition of, "Fluffer". I hardly think Dean would stroke the boys to get them hard before the show.

Shame there is no more original members left
