The defense is in the 10-15 area to me... Not great, but talented, and they make big plays, which is all you need when you can get physical and control the game on offense. I'm Still not used to the Lions looking so legit.

Branch has missed games also or I think he would be up there with them.

So, we can't get super bowl rings just for our stat lines? Bummer.

Nah. It had more to do with GB's mistakes. I agree with you in the sense that DET's defensive deficiencies are MASKED by the offense scoring so opposing teams are in 'hurry up' mode. Davis is overrated. Arnold is overrated. Yes, Branch and Joseph are excellent safeties, but their corners can be beat, and are penalty-leaning. Also, it's been masked that their rush defense is actually awful. How much of it is because of Aiden being gone and, again, teams getting out of their running plans because they're behind. Also, GB wrs had plenty of out of character drops that they were in good positions against the secondary, just couldn't take adv of it.

Yeah I think it’s safe to say you are a mad Packers fan. They are top 3 in drops this season, so it’s very characteristic. The Lions are twice the team the Packers are. Fact. (And btw Terrion and Davis owned your WRs)

@baseballsoffury642 they actually aren't "twice better" than GB, but they are further along in their progression. And no, Arnold/Davis didn't play that much better than GB's WRs. There were plenty of times that they had them beat, just couldn't capitalize. Next two meetings will be different.

If you want to use the GB game as a measurement, that's fine, but the Lions were down 12 DL in that game (10 IR - 2 Out) as well as some DB's. Branch going out was an in game adjustment the had to make. It was kinda monsoony out.
Right now they are bend but don't break that causes turnovers. Teams have no problem till they get to the Read Zone, but as long as a PI doesn't give them a goal to go situation then they do very well. Branch has missed time but between he and Kerby they have a pick in each and every game. PI's were a problem in early matchups but not recently.
If you go by points allowed, then this defense is legit and will only get better as players return, but if you want a defense that gets sacks and limits yards, then Detroit ain't that. At least not right now.
