Needed to hear his badass voice after seeing Chief take off his entire suit in the tv show. What were they thinking.

Same. Couldn’t be more obvious the creators of the show have never read the books or played the games.
I don't think it's a bad show, but I think it would have been better for them to have a faceless main character with him doing the voice again, or someone who can do as close as possible to the voice. It's just absolutely iconic.

@@TheWolffBro yea man honestly, I hate how people criticize the show soo much... As a hardcore Halo fan of course I was bummed on some things but I have a feeling the first season is going to be more of the establishment of the story a little slow but emphasize on plot and character building! Of course I want to see a lot more action but if they set up the plot and overall story in first season then in 2nd and 3rd etc start bringing in more of the violence and battle scenes we all know we want I would be completely fine with that! Just because the first season of a show or series is kinda slow doesn't mean that the following seasons won't come.back and make it all worth it... I've seen series like that and they end up being completely epic! I have faith they will make it badass like it is in games and books and in all honesty deserves to be... No matter what haters say they know damn well if they truly love Halo, they are guna watch it regardless so no point of being a douchey critic lol

@@cristianroy21 software already exists that can be perfectly replicate a persons voice, a 20 min voice sample is all that’s needed,
The software is owned by Adobe, and as I far I know it hasn’t been released to the public.
it’s actually pretty scary, if this Software was leaked innocent people could be framed with crimes they didn’t commit by people who just hate them and want to see them suffer.

Yes. Except in Forward Unto Dawn and Halo Legends, and that cursed Paramount thing, Chief has always been voiced by Steve Downes, just like Cortana has always been voiced by Jen Taylor except for Halo Legends. Jen is even Cortana in the cursed Paramount thing and she's easily the best part about it.

I've been in love with Halo since it first came out in 2001! Everything about that game was ground breaking for that time era of gaming and more importantly, first person shooters! I just wanted to say thank you for making my childhood super-soldier hero sound soooo badass and absolutely iconic! I'm sure other fans would agree when I say Master Chief wouldn't be the Master Chief we know and love without your amazing voice acting behind it, just wouldn't be the same! Like one of the comments below said, I hope Microsoft can figure out a way to somehow save your voice on file and from that use it to create future Master Chief dialogue for every new Halo game! I don't think I would ever get used to another voice for Chief if they couldn't find a way to use yours in the new games. Thanks again for the amazing memories and dialogue! You're an absolute legend Steve! Cheers!

Your voice instantly turns me back into the 15 year old little gamer girl that fell in love with your voice the moment I heard it the first time on the original Xbox for Combat Evolved. I had to end my gaming career in my late 20s so I never got to play beyond Halo 3 or 4 (I can’t remember). Whichever is the one where he dies at the end but then the teaser trailer of the next one is his heartbeat. Anyway, whichever that one is, I SOBBED uncontrollably at the end. I was depressed for WEEKS and crying over the death of my most beloved fictional character. I hope one day I can get back into gaming so I can play them all from start to finish (cuz I can’t remember most of the story anymore). One day when I can afford such things again, it’s gonna be just me and you, Chief! I miss Halo so much!!!

I can't believe the Halo series on Paramount is not using your voice, it's totally not canonical - they even had the audacity to remove his helmet! Everyone knows there's just another helmet underneath...or if they had to do it, y'know for the likes or because it's fashionable (see Mandalorian) then they could have at least used your face and de-aged it accordingly like was done with Luke. You'll always be the Master Chief to me and many others Steve, thanks for putting so many years of work into it and making it the most enjoyable videogame experience of my childhood.

If they were ever to make halo into a movie you have to play chief and they can’t show his face.. ever. That’s one rule they can’t break. Honestly would love to see an alternate halo 4, 5 and 6 as the sequels we never got to Halo 3.
