That was nightmare fuel-
I've always used moisturizing shampoo and conditioner for my dolls' hair. Nothing expensive, just the cheapest thing I can find at the Dollar Store. I also condition it twice. It makes it SO soft and silky.
I'm so glad you shared your tip about the thin coats of paint! That's where I messed up on my first repaint. I never even thought about doing it that way.
If this ever happens again why don't you paint the teeth first

I have a little helpful tip with paints. After you have the look you want you can use mod podge to seal in the paints. It should be water poof and what not as well

I actually dye my dolls hair with washable markers and it works well and if you want to change it or take it out for any reason you just rinse it out without having to use soap or shampoo or anything like that. But I do wash the dolls hair before putting the color in so it doesn't mix with any color that i missed. Almost all my dolls have colored hair ->-

Does anyone have a remedy for REALLY sticky doll hair?! Most of my Monster High dolls have greasy/sticky hair, and I can't figure out how to get it out! Does anyone have any ideas?! :'(
first question did it come sticky? well what I've done in the past was wash there hair with shampoo and let the dolls hair sit in the water for a minute or two fixed all of my mh/barbie hair:)
wash twice it with shampoo and hot water, then blow dry it and brush it at the same time.
(don't know if this works but I tried it and it worked. Enjoy :)
I brush their hair over and over again if it gets sticky wash their hair with shampoo and conditioner do it and it will go and if it comes back do it again , mine came back 3 times and left
Or mix shampoo in boiling water and dip their hair in the water for 10 to 15 minutes
Chloe Hill I did the same with a Barbie Fashionista and her hair was STILL SO sticky so I cut her hair short and then painted it... perfect!

When I was in 2nd grade, I brought my prized Liv doll to school. I LOVED her. We were going to dismissal and I had her out. My teacher told me to put her away. I got mad and tried to stuff her in leg first. Okay, I had her since PRESCHOOL. When I was trying to put her in, her leg broke off. I cried. So much. She still has one missing leg.

i wash my doll's hair regularly and there hair is still fine as new. my secret is not to use hot water or even worm water but room temperature or cool water and be VERY GENTLE! (or else )...lol so yes my doll can go in water as long as it is cold and Clawdeen is turning 3 this year and her hair is still perfect i love Sophie`s new lips. thank you for your awesome video i make all your stuff.
I do too. The only shampoo i use is the baby kind. Conditioner makes it extremely soft and i only use the fructice sleek and shine or the treseme if anyone wanted suggestion.

For your sailor moon custom you could glue on a red small cyrstal at the craft store it come in many colors

CreateSomethingFabulous I had to repaint one of my little cousin's Barbie dolls so Here's a little tip on how to repaint the teeth. Use the tiniest bit of water with the white paint so that way it doesn't cause any clumps
