Go for it young fella! You know the odds are stacked against you but believe in hard work and dare to dream. I'm Asian of Chinese descent, am 6'4", and once a long time ago had dreams of becoming a professional athlete. I took the safe route, went to a good college, got my degree, earned my PhD, and now looking back hoped that I had taken a chance when I was younger. Life is exciting at that age and you won't know whether you can accomplish the extraordinary unless you try.
Last week I got a call my nigga my both feet were planted it’s not like I was moving and I got the ball in the inbound stop got into triple threat and jab stepped and I got a fucking travel
From where I'm from he can get picked up D2/3 no problem..it's just a matter of if the coaches see him play. Even if they saw just this highlight I think they would get a good understanding of how he plays or if they want him or not. Dude is slick
Don't really even remember what I was going to write...his offensive game just seems so unbelievably complete though. Didn't see a lot of mid-range from him, but I'd be completely shocked if he didn't have mid-range game.
He’s nice cause he’s fully aware of the game & has good vision of it also...+ it really helps when you have that aspect of the game & the competition is horrible & weak
I hate it when the opposing team is hacking the shit out of him and tripping him and whatnot and when the ref calls a foul they're like "NO!!!" like it's the craziest thing they ever heard in their life... Dude watch this video and see how out of control you are which is the reason you end up fouling so damn much.
Lum needs to look at some schools which are Division 1 like Citadel, Eton, Davidson. He has got major game and can see the floor. I haven't really seen his defense yet to see if he can shut down someone who is a big time scorer. He looks like he has Div. 1 game. Just he would get no burn in the WCC-- with Santa Clara, St. Mary's, Pepperdine. What about U of Hartford, U of Albany, Siena, Manhattan, Niagara, Canisius, Iona, U of Buffalo, Wagner, Fordham (all in New York state and NYC-- all small Div. 1 schools)-- would he be willing to send his video clips to these schools and see if they will offer him? I bet 2-3 schools would let him go as a preferred walk on. Look Div 1 is Div 1 ball, go as a "preferred walk on" the first year and then get your scholarship the 2nd year. The tuition won't be any more and it will be less than that of Lick-Wilmerding. Just get into a D1 school where he (Lum) belongs.
Jon Chang you act like he would be guaranteed to just start ripping up D1 comp, you do realize how incredibly bad the comp was he is playing in these highlights? D1 is a whole other level. I've played with so many kids with his skills who aren't even close to D1 playing time.
Jon Chang he's a good passer, and he is fairly athletic I agree, but in D1 all the kids are athletic, and almost all are taller. I believe he has the skill to make a D1 team, playing time and production against big time D1 programs is another story.
Well on that I would agree with you. The kid needs to lift weights big time. Whenever someone pushes him out, this guy always just fades away to shoot. Doc Rivers when he played always would get lower and drive you away, push off of you like a tailback in football. If this kid ever wanted to play D1 ball, he needs to start lifting now. He has had everything easy especially if you compare him to James Chun (who works, works and works). This guy has a unique way of passing too, instead of using just all wrist or both wrists, this guy (Lum) gets his hand centered on the ball and elbow behind the ball for the pass like a pool stick shot. If he got stronger, he wouldn't have to do that and he would be an even better passer making the pass even quicker. But give him credit for seeing the pass before the lane opens.
Kerrid Esor he is not a D1 player bro, he hasn’t played around many D1 or even D2 candidates to actually see his skill sets compared to upper echelon athletes in high school.
4:54 what the actual fuck. No way in hell thats a charge. It’s a no call. Actually there was literally no one around and the two dudes were on the side. If that were me. Be getting a tech. Great offense and the ref blew it.... terrible call
Too bad that he's only 5'9". As an Asian American at 5'11" myself with good athletic ability, I found that my athletic career ends after high school. I think one has to be at least 6'3" to play basketball meaningfully in college, every inch you are under, your athleticism needs to multiply by a ton.
if he was taller, maybe he can get a scholarship and has a chance in NBA in the future... if only he was taller... ( his talent maybe just like Jeremy Lin when Jeremy was young but the height is different)
1:20 "Back door back door back door... GOD DAMN IT"😂

4:52 worst call by a ref I think I’ve ever seen in HS basketball
Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. WTF was that call???????
Sly KM nah bro in basketball
Ref called the off arm but it was still a highly questionable call seeing as it did not dislodge or affect the defender in any way.
Last week I got a call my nigga my both feet were planted it’s not like I was moving and I got the ball in the inbound stop got into triple threat and jab stepped and I got a fucking travel
How the hell is that a charge?
Low tier comp but he has good vision so that helps with all levels of basketball
His IQ and feel for the game is crazy
Now this man has talent. His name deserves to be in the place of many players featured on these basketball channels.

The pass at 5:06 was so accurate mans didn't even know it was going to him. GODDAMN
@4:03, that's that Bill Laimbeer shot form right there!
God damn that boi nice
4:50 smooth as hell
How is it a charge if your opponent jumps to block you?
Hesss soliddddd
That boy smooth
Saw the other highlights and didn't think he was much but then I saw him dishing dimes. That's awesome great vision there.
UNDERRATED
This guy works his butt off during the offseason
He’s nice cause he’s fully aware of the game & has good vision of it also...+ it really helps when you have that aspect of the game & the competition is horrible & weak
Holy shit, boy looks great. I think I'm a fan now.
Wow kid is good
5’9” u have to be very very talented to make it in basketball
Smart play at 5:48
James Games that pass was nasty
SALTY WALTY! nice balance btwn style n simplicity. looking good
4:56 Clearly not a charge!!
His teammates got butterfingers.
no problem, some norcal socal cc would def take him if no other D1 school does
he would be a great d1 point guard
He should move to a better school. Hes talented. Great vision and his acceleration/first step is unreal

3:37 steve kerr level coaching
Eye test this guy is good, if his black probably would have D1 offers but since his asian probably will play D3 or something.
He looks taller
I know right?
Wonders of perfectly fitted clothes
This dude has serious game. Is he going D1 somewhere?

Has Walter gotten offers from any schools yet?
BORNSINNER nope. He is not even ranked.
I train with this kid he is signed and going to Colby, a d3 piece of shit. He coulda made bench easy at a better school
Kerrid Esor he is not a D1 player bro, he hasn’t played around many D1 or even D2 candidates to actually see his skill sets compared to upper echelon athletes in high school.
Andre Pang Colby in Maine?
His IQ is so high.
