THANKS FOR WATCHING EPISODE 2!!! Don't forget to use #MintaraMondays on Twitter :) Episode 3 will be about JAPAN! What questions do you have for us? :)
How much time in Japan would you need in order to exhaust all the touristic potential the country has? I guess this sort of stuff depends on interests so it would be interesting to hear your personal answers.
What's your favorite Japan specific experience? Also, what are your thoughts on Akihabara vs DenDen town? What's an awkward moment where you didn't know what to say in Japanese? (Or just a funny moment) Hopefully these are okay questions, love you guys!! ❤
I kinda feel "X person uses work as an excuse to hang out with X friends" is probably the best type of content online. You get more content that feels real
Well now that we know for sure what Maint's preferred reading material is, she should talk to Hime who can at the very least get Mint into contact with her Grandmother Sydney and they can do a legitimate plot discussion
Incase anyone was wondering, this podcast length is perfect mowing, edging, and blowing a quarter acre yard. So while you’re out there making the yard look nice, treat yourself to some wonderful ladies chatting in your ears.

Oh gosh, I remember in 5th grade... MANY years ago... writing HAGS in friends yearbooks and them in mine... we thought we were so silly. Childhood memory unlocked haha
1:00:47 Speaking from experience, learning to rig a Vtuber model is the equivalent to torture for months on end, I definitely don't recommend it for everyone. Not only the steep learning curve but sometimes issues can occur that don't have tutorials for fixing them, and just drawing the thing eats up a lotta time.
So, technically a parasocial relationship is any relationship that's one sided. What's interesting about streaming is that through chatting with an audience you start to form a genuine social relationship with at least some of your viewers and vice versa. It's not what I would call "friendship", but when you have a regular who you interact with every day and remember things about it definitely goes beyond the typical performer x fan relationship, and I think that's kinda neat.
Well said. As a slightly older chap. I'd like to add a further analogy that normalises such interactions. For about a decade I worked a typical office job as Internal Sales. You can build a working relationship with your customers even though you may never see them. You can get friendly with them and make each working day a lot nicer. I had calls with customers where we would spend the first 15-20mins catching up before even speaking a single word of business. Both parties can benefit from the interaction and feel better about their day. Similarly though, there is still a line to be drawn. No matter how friendly you are with them, they are still a customer and their needs much be respected as such. Now there were people I worked with that preferred not to do this, as they typically had trouble maintaining those boundaries or could easily feel betrayed if the time ever came for difficult conversations or needs from the customers. .....I'm waffling at this point 😅 I guess what I'm saying is. ..if know how to respect boundaries and understand the nature of the relationship, then these interactions can still be healthy and beneficial for oneself.

One suggestion I would have is adding chapters/sections about the topics in the video. That way for those low on time can look at the parts that most interest them. I watch/listen to the whole show, but it’s useful for others. Also good for rewatching to find topics.

1:12:45 it doesn't matter whether today is the best time ever to start streaming, what matters is that today's a LOT better time to start than tomorrow is.
I stream very VERY occasionally, I'd like to do it more but I'm so introverted that I feel like I shouldn't, plus the games I play are much more niche titles. I want to stream to even one person, but I feel like I just can't even though I know I can have a good time with someone that'll pop in. Thanks ahead of time for the Podcast M&M! Gonna enjoy it tomorrow on my way to work and during my breaks, already know it's gonna be great and a huge booster for the work day!
Thanks for another great M&M Episode! Hope those interested in getting into the industry listen closely, too many have a bad habit of just asking live instead of seeking out the countless video's of vtubing entry questions. I gotta be honest i was one of those people who used to go buy the best of the best for a hobby only to abandon it when i was younger, while these days i just start small and learn along the way which is so much more comfortable. Though some things are definitely a nice Q.O.L, that is all it is. 💚💓

Great episode. Already making me look forward to the summer. I love listening to it Monday evening driving home from work, and having it as a podcast helps me the "fomo" of missing out on being in chat if it were just a normal stream.

The moment the words "Minotaur Milking Farm" were uttered was the moment that my joy in Mint's return faltered. It was for the briefest of moments, but it happened.
the last time I got a HAGS was from a friend 13 years ago... what a blast from the past LOL also, that chobits mention... got me remembering animes like PTSD Thanks for the entertainment and I hope the future episodes go swimingly :S
I got one question that came up in my mind you talked about how nice it is to have fellow creators around u to play games and create together, but as a small starting streamer, how to you find people to join and befriend. I personally always find it really hard to find people that I vibe with
1:17:09 I'm fairly sure you're talking about Clio Aite. She streams a lot of grand strategy games, and occasionally gives history lectures on stream. I think the twitter post about her that blew up was by Shindigs, who regularly tweets about vtubers (or streamers adjacent to vtubing) doing something interesting/unique/different. Highlight for me is Uwoslab, a pngtuber who does ridiculous engineering experiments on stream, like a chat-controlled fried rice cooking machine, or deep-frying chicken in a toilet.
thank you again mama and minty for the podcast! we absolutely adore seeing yall get passionate and share your many years of wisdom with us, it truly means the world 💚🤍💚🤍

Also just wanted to mention, really loving your neil hamburger's new years eve approach to summer. Can't wait to see your summer plans fo december.
It's summer here in the PH, so this works for me.
The moment the words "Minotaur Milking Farm" were uttered was the moment that my joy in Mint's return faltered. It was for the briefest of moments, but it happened.
30:01 Saving for adorable Mint tuturu!
I love this podcast, it's so easy to listen to, and you guys are so funny together 🩷💚
the last time I got a HAGS was from a friend 13 years ago... what a blast from the past LOL also, that chobits mention... got me remembering animes like PTSD
Thanks for the entertainment and I hope the future episodes go swimingly :S
I got one question that came up in my mind
you talked about how nice it is to have fellow creators around u to play games and create together, but as a small starting streamer, how to you find people to join and befriend. I personally always find it really hard to find people that I vibe with
I loveee Hyouka. So glad it was recommended. One of my favorites.
Thank you for the podcast
I LOVE THESE 2 TOGETHER!
Love listening while at work!
This Summer is indeed Special
Fun podcast. Love you 2. Sorry I can't find to watch you Mata 😢
That's alright :) Thanks for watching here - Mata
"Never, say never" makes me think of that song from American Tail, with the pidgeon and Fievel. ^^
