I always get mean comments from people when I say is it a good thing when horses foam put of their mouth and people are like get your education right but I don't like horses I'm not and equestrian I'm a guinea pig owner and I know lot of stuff about them and that really hurts my feelings
So in the show jumping videos I notice riders only use one set of reins yet in the dressage ones I've seen riders use two sets of reins. For simple English riding is it better to use one or double reins?
Katerina Roman-Spanu most people only use one rein but you can use double bridles with two reins that give you more control over your horse and your hand aids are clearer
Really depends on the horse and what bridle/bit it goes in. When I was looking for a horse to buy I rode a handful with double reins, it was harder for me obviously bc you have more things in your hands. Really just the horse and bit and how they go with different people rein aids

These horses are taken very good care of and if they were in any pain at all, they wouldn't jump them.
