Great to have a listen chaps. The last part tweaked my ears when they were talking about custom order dice bags, as I was at my sewing machine making some more dice bags!!

I'm going to my first ever tourny event with a 1250 point cap and 12 order dice cap. I'm bringing a regular 1st Lt and assistant, 2- 10 man Veteran Grenadier squads a 8 man Vet Grenadier squad. A regular medium mortar and spotter, a Veteran MMG, regular SD Kfz 234/2 Puma, a regular Brummbar with schurzen and a in exp Maultier. Don't know if I want to take a 10 man squad or the 8 and the MMG as passengers for it. For a grand total of 1248 points and 9 order dice.

Daniel makes missions that are historically based, and that what makes them awesome. Cameron Ridge was epic.
Re: Prep bombardment, "advantaging the British" - well, it doesn't really. It is a game balance issue. If you eliminate it, you take away one of the British Army strengths, but leave every other army's strengths in place. That is, simply, bias and unfair.
You want to take away British Prep bombardment advantage, sure, Germans lose Hitler's Buzzsaw. Russians lose their free squad. French lose their free artillery, etc. Other armies lose one of their strengths. You can't just nerf one army because you don't like it. That is, in a way, cheating and punishing players who have chosen to collect British forces.
It's just a solid NO from a fairness (and being a responsible TO) point of view.
If Warlord want to officially replace the British prep bombardment advantage with something else, sure, but it needs to be replaced with something, not just stolen away by a TO who doesn't like it.

I’m not entirely sure it is that cut and dry. But that is the benefit of being the TO or event organiser. You get to change the rules to suit what you want for the event ;) They don’t have to be agreed beforehand and players can choose to participate or not. But variety breeds growth as you expose people to other ways to play the game :)

@@WesternTabletop Okay, now imagine being a German player and the TO said, "Yeah, I'm not letting you use the Hitler's Buzzsaw rule. No justification, no thematic reason, no other nerf on any other nation, just Germans and just because I don't like it."
I think you'd have a lot of (justifiably) very upset German players.
Now if it's a single event where there is a justification, maybe heavy fog or rain so no one can see anything to bombard, that's all good. I just don't want to see this PB hate become the dominant meta. If it is so reviled, then Warlord would change the rules. If they think it's an important part of the rules, then maybe just play the game they made.
Personally, I love PB because it throws that element of chaos in just before you kick off - very thematic of WW2. That can throw your plans right out the window when your tank gets blown up (happened to me at the last event). You need to rise to the challenge and adapt your plan, not ban it.
      Just my thoughts :)
(And I don't even play Brits anymore).
