I agree 100%. "He's too old" is a very shitty excuse. Robert Englund is Freddy Krueger, no matter what. Hell, Englund even starred as Freddy in Freddy vs. Jason, and that was released in 2003. This pointless remake was 2010, only 7 years later. I'm sure Englund knew that this remake was going to be a joke and told them "kiss my ass." This movie should not have been made.

and roony mara some may say she was ok n the woman with the dragon tactoo i honestly dont know if it was the script but she had on emotions lol i have seen bathroom tiles with more personality

And as a side note...the actress who portrayed (destroyed) Nancey, Rooney Mara.....she ACTUALLY did make me fall asleep at one point, in the theater. I woke up about 1 minute later, but I STILL fell asleep. Great Review!
For anyone who thinks Robert Englund is too old. he originallyr eplaced an older actor and We Craven originally thought of the character as an old man and Auditoned only older actors until he decided they were all too nice to play the role and went younger

I agree with you,I don't think Friday the 13th,or Nightmare on elm street needed to be remade,for one reason they already have a crap load of sequal's,and NO Robert Englund,screw that! I wouldn't mind seeing a Evil dead remake,especially if Sam raimi did it,it could be improved,and I didn't care to much for the Halloween's either,Rob Zombies,alright,but those movies kinda sucked to me,and the original's are better,i did like the Chainsaw massacres though.I think I'm gonna make a Rant soon.
