@@realpars thank you...!!! It is helpful... Because when I run into a pneumatic or Hydro switches, the nomenclature in the blue prints gets confusing for the switch action..
Hi Bitebo. Electromechanical switches don't really care if the voltage is AC or DC, or what the actual voltage value is as long as the contacts are capable of switching the current. But, solid-state, or electronic switches are very particular about what voltage is applied to them.

Your explanation of the brake oil switch was a bit unclear. If it opens when the pressure drops then is it a normally open pressure switch or a normally closed vacuum switch?
Hi Stephen. Thanks for your comment. It’s a pressure switch that “operates” on a decrease in pressure below the setpoint. Symbols are always shown in their “de-energized state, and this switch is shown closed. By convention, it is called a “Normally Closed” pressure switch. Because it is shown as a “Normally-closed” switch, it opens when it “operates”. Opens on a decrease (drop), and closes on an increase (rise) in both pressure or vacuum situations.
Hello….thanks for your question. Deadband and hysteresis certainly have somewhat similar results. Generally speaking, Hysteresis is a magnetic term. For example, hysteresis is a lag between input and output in a system upon a change in direction, or when the change in magnetism of a body lags behind changes in the magnetic field.
