Thank you! My bottom thread kept pulling through and I thought it was the tension, after so many times reloading I cleaned out my machine and it’s back to brand new- I didn’t even realise how loud it had gotten! Will certainly be cleaning more regularly and looking into a service
This was by far the BEST tutorial, l have watched, for my Singer Start machine !!! I learned so much, even though I have been using it for almost a year !! I also, enjoyed your sweet voice and personality. Thank you so much.
THANK YOU! My machine was snapping the same Guterman thread I've been using exclusively for the last two months and I had no clue what was wrong! Also, thank you for the tip when changing out thread. :)
Thank you. A bit of trouble just now where I removed the clips and all the metal came popping out and I did not know how to assemble. New to sewing. Plus the “bobbin” was flapping around and I started getting worried. Trying now after following your video...and it’s working again! Yayy! Thank you so so much! 💜🦄🦋🌟
That's what I'm talking about I'm going to get a service manual I work on machines I can do my own work thank you.... I knew there was a lot more than that from the old ones I have I have found ,the old ones like r i c c a r made in Japan in the 60s is immaculate faster than the speed of light.. my Minnesota vibrating shuttle is totally another beast. My singer 66 from 1950 is another good one but that r i c c a r it is special I still love singers
Hello and Thank you so much for this video, my handwheel was stiff like not moving as it should SO I did the cleaning in this video as you showed and now it is moving correctly. Very Good Video.
Can you tell us about the upper part maintenance of the sewing machine? As my top tread used to come out of the needle during sew each n every time.....I just don't understand why this is happened always?
Hello! I am new to sewing and was wondering how you can tell if you've used enough or too much oil! I just put a little bit but don't know if it's enough. Thank you!
hi! I wish I had seen this video before I tried to troubleshoot my machine that kept breaking needles. I'm going to buy sewing machine oil now after seeing this vid! you mention metal on metal, is the hook supposed to be touching the needle when it grabs the thread? I thought that my timing was off but now I"m just wondering if that's how it's supposed to be and I just need to oil it lol... Thank you!
Thank u so much mam U saved me ...I have my small business I have learnt cleaning method of sewing machine I have same machine as well.it is very easiest way to clean .. Thanks..love from india ♥️♥️one thing want to ask should I clean in how many days ...
When reinserting the bobbin case, it is easier to use the little fold out tab of the bobbin case. I found it to be too hard to push the bobbin case in as shown at 4:35 of this video.
If you need it to go higher or lower, just loosen the screw that holds it in place and move the needle up or down. I haven't seen anything to move the needle's location forward or back. The walking foot seems to move it forward because the for itself feels farther back, but that's it.
I did everything that was shown in this video. But when I began sewing my needles would break. I suspect needle alignment. How do I correct it. How can I tell that that the needle is properly aligned?
I found out one thing the factory red that talks about these machines says to wind the bobbin one way and it's wrong . mine will only sew with the bobbin wound the opposite of what she says nonetheless
Thank you, as a beginner I was starting to get disheartened by my machine breaking the thread. You have saved me!

Back in the day...one did not have to be a mechanical engineer to do a little sewing!
Thank you dear. This video helped me a lot.
Hi, thanks this was very helpful!!! Is there a way to reposition the needle on this machine?
