My grandfather was best friends with Babe Ruth. I've seen old family pictures with Babe having dinner with my mother's family, whenever he was in Baltimore. My mother was an elevator operator at the Bromo Seltzer Clock Tower building, where she met my father, who worked for an insurance company in the tower building. My grandfather (George Most) was also a well known magician, who studied under Harry Houdini. Thanks for the videos!
@dwayne3466 your family has a great history linked to some of the greatest celebrities of the 20th century. Thank you for sharing it with us. 🙏🏻 The Babe and Harry Houdini!! 😊
I saw an Oriel's game at Memorial Stadium the last year it was in operation. It was not a gem of a ballpark. But I was glad I got to see a game there. Then on the way home to PA we hit a deer, but that's another story.
Philly captain is a good friend/he is very loyal to you. That’s wonderful. I follow him too and he cracks me up. He is hilarious -he is another legendary East Coast Vlogger 😂
Babe Ruth used to come do hitting instructions after he retired in my home town. He would stay for months at a time teaching kids how to hit in 1940/41. A lot of memorabilia and rooms in Palatka, Florida still the same as when he stayed in them.
Never thought of Baltimore of the history you guys brought out in this video, plus the bizarre buildings. Strange city . Always really enjoy when The Philly Captain joins in with commentary and comical input to the story, Enjoy the ball game !
But that is a contradiction in terms, for you can’t simultaneously grow up and become this guy because you would have to not grow up to be this guy. Catch my drift?
This was a nice video. I've been a subscriber for years, but my daughter recently moved to a few blocks from Camden Yards, so I found this very interesting. She was at the Orioles game on Saturday. Thanks for the tour. People sometimes rag on Baltimore, but there are a lot of really nice parts of the city.
I was there in 2005 (Orioles vs Rockies). I lived in Simi Valley, CA at the time, so the CoRox was a coincidence. I met the Boog also (I have a pic of him). A highlight in meeting the Boog was that I wore my Dodgers practice jersey. Boog talked about his last year in the majors, how he loved playing for the Dodgers. Great guy!
My daughter and her family are coming to Baltimore on Monday. My son in law is going to John’s Hopkins so he can get treatment for Aplastic Anemia. It is similar to leukemia.
Certain guests elevate Adam's videos to amazing... Natalie the Woo, Scott on Tape, Tim Tracker, and Philly Captain Guy. Oh and the Santa Monica Beach guy also.
Fun fact: the modern Orioles were once called the St Louis Browns. When they were relocated, they took the name Orioles partially in honor of Babe Ruth. Decades later, the Cleveland Browns relocated to Baltimore, took the name Ravens in honor of Edgar Allen Poe. Kinda weird that 2 teams called the Browns moved to the same city, renamed themselves after a bird to honor a famous son of the city. I'm surprised it isn't pointed out more.
Good morning Adam, as soon as i saw Philly Captain i knew it would be a good video, he is always funny and entertaining. You were in a better part of the city, yesterday those areas were very sketchy. From Universal Jamie.
Babe Ruth was what we'd call in cricket, a good all rounder. As he was a great pitcher, fielder and batter. He was initially signed as a pitcher, first time he attended a major league game, he was pitching top of the first innings
The Captain has actually been funny today!! Great video! I’ve even watched the whole baseball thing- which I rarely do, but that’s just me- baseball IS THEAMERICAN GAME!! Safe travels Adam!! Hello to the Captain!!
You two are hilarious. "I wanna see Francis Scott Key's grave now." " We got a baseball game to go to tho" " Yeah but it's a Tampa Bay Rays game" CUT! I am cracking up 🤣🤣 I would love to see you two do a reading of Who's on First. I think it would be awesome!
Having grown up in Baltimore County, I’ve visited a lot of those places, from your last video as well. I used to work in downtown Baltimore and would have lunch at Lexington Market, and bought my wedding dress, also near there. Also, my grandparents were buried at Baltimore cemetery, I was trying to see if you were anywhere near where they were buried. I never knew the guy who made the Ouji board was buried in Baltimore! Like yourself never played it, something very creepy about them. Anyway, thank you for taking me down memory lane, since I haven’t been to that area of Baltimore in years, since I’ve moved to England some 31 years ago.
Enjoyed you and the Philly Captain! He’s a character! I’m in Delaware and we are hard core Phillies/Eagles fans. Going to see Phillies and Orioles play on Fathers Day! My daughter is in Baltimore and have enjoyed a lot of the local haunts you visited today. I love your mission of seeing the Rays play in different ball parks! I’m also a Poe fan and visited his sites. He’s been everywhere! Saw his room at UVA when he was a student there for a short time. Enjoy your time there!⚾️⚓️🦀
There is a Poe Avenue on Sullivan's Island, South Carolina. Poe was shipped to Sullivan's Island, South Carolina, a barrier island on Charleston Harbor, where he was stationed from November 1827 until December 1828.
I live just outside of Lewes D.E. , I get into baltimore quite a bit for concerts .....I love eating at pickles pub ....it is located just across the street from camden yards .......also love the videos when you and the capt are together.
The Power Plant used to hold an indoor theme park called "Six Flags Power Plant". That area under the middle was a larger B&N and the Phillips was the original ESPNZone restaurant.
Really liked seeing Camden Yards in your video. It was funny, I dont know if you noticed it. At the 32:00 mark there are people sitting way up above and they can be see above the clock. WOW
The Baltimore Orioles that Babe Ruth played for were in fact a non-MLB team that went belly up soon after selling him to the Red Sox. It was at one time wrongly assumed that those Orioles became the New York Highlanders/Yankees. They weren’t. The current Baltimore Orioles were originally the St. Louis Browns.
This was a really nice video hopefully plan to one day visit the Edgar Allen grave Poe grave and the ouija board grave on my bucket list ,I remember going to a Os game it was a lot of fun never knew there was that Babe Ruth museum Wow 🤯 I’ve been on those ships the submarine was very small and claustrophobic😳😰 love Baltimore 🧡
Sister and I had Sunday Season Tickets for OPACY for over a decade. It's been a long time since my last visit. But $30 for a crab cake sandwich is outrageous. I can't afford to go to a game these days.
I am Baltimore born and raised but live overseas for last 25 yrs. Recently discovered Philly Captain, love ya videos Phil Cap- and his accent, tho slightly different then a Baltimorean/ Baltimorese-accent reminds of a Baltimore accent, the slow drawl and some words drawn out. I love ir. Even more recent discovered The Daily Woo......thanks for coming to Baltimore, and I m due back in Sept. Want to see Poe s Grave as well as the catacombs so thanks for covering that as well !! Good work !!
After watching this video I finally made the connection that the Baltimore Ravens being named the way they are is a Poe reference (or at least I assume it is lol due to his connection to the city.

I like Baltimore. It has its spots but overall its a great city with great people😊
The best part of having Philliy on the show is him teetering only the brink of going off the rails at any moment!
Gotta like the Philly Capt.
@@davidmacek2354 he is great!!
I enjoy the Philly Captain he is so funny. Enjoyed the Baltimore tour, I was born and raised in Maryland. About 50 miles northwest.
Who knew the Philly Captain was a connoisseur of Perrier and Rembrandt?
Shocking, right?!!
Glad you were able to experience some true Baltimore traditions on this day. Oriole Park at Camden Yards is a gem of a ballpark.
Great ballpark
I saw an Oriel's game at Memorial Stadium the last year it was in operation. It was not a gem of a ballpark. But I was glad I got to see a game there. Then on the way home to PA we hit a deer, but that's another story.
I love everything Edgar Allan Poe thanks for sharing with us be safe on your travels

Two mediocre teams? The Orioles are one of top teams in baseball. Not an intelligent comment.
Babe Ruth used to come do hitting instructions after he retired in my home town. He would stay for months at a time teaching kids how to hit in 1940/41. A lot of memorabilia and rooms in Palatka, Florida still the same as when he stayed in them.
Adam, your u need to go there!!!
You guys are amazing together! Best banter ever!
Never thought of Baltimore of the history you guys brought out in this video, plus the bizarre buildings. Strange city . Always really enjoy when The Philly Captain joins in with commentary and comical input to the story, Enjoy the ball game !
I wanna be Adam the Woo when I grow up! Awesome. Thanks for taking us along for the ride!
No…you don’t.
But that is a contradiction in terms, for you can’t simultaneously grow up and become this guy because you would have to not grow up to be this guy. Catch my drift?

Great video! My hubs was getting our Boog's bbqs and a ball hit off the roof during practice. Hubs stepped out & neatly caught it.
Thanks for the tour
Adam, I'm with you, ain't NO WAY I'm fooling around with the Devil's Typewriter aka The Ouija Board.
The excitement & enthusiasm is always ramped up when the Philly Captain is on board!
Certain guests elevate Adam's videos to amazing... Natalie the Woo, Scott on Tape, Tim Tracker, and Philly Captain Guy. Oh and the Santa Monica Beach guy also.
I think the beach guy is The German in Venice.
Adam The W00 and The Philly Captain, a great Vlog, Thank you for the tour of Baltimore and The Babe Ruth Museum, way cool,,,,,,
Baltimore is so beautiful with all these old architectural buildings, old gas lamps street lighting, lovely waterfront too

Love this type of content....Poe is great...Ruth is great....OLD American Cities are great. Well done
The Philly Captain is awesome! He makes my day. I'm glad to see you teamed up with him again 🤪
Well, looks like Philly Captain's vegetarian stint was short-lived. When he said it on your last video with him I knew it wouldn't last long.
I am so glad ATW is back to his Americana content. Bravo.
Camden Yards - IMHO - is the most picture-perfect model for a ballpark!
Thanks for your coverage, Adam!
Good video, Adam. Babe hit his first professional home run here in Fayetteville, NC. Pretty cool history.
Do they still call it Fayettenam?

Super cool trip to Baltimore. ^^ For a while I was busy with divorce and re-inventing my life. It's good to be back and this video really made my day.

Lokve your friend, Phila. Phil, a trip. Enjoyed going to Poe's grave and the historic areas.
Philly captain is one the best partners in crime you could ask for on these adventures.
I remember seeing that ship you first showed. It was at Fleet Week in San Diego. From a looong time ago.
I love these episodes with the Philly Captain.. They are classic examples of genuine laughter on inside jokes if you are an avid viewer of the woo.

Great portrayal of the stadium and other downtown spots (minus The Block).
Howdy Adam, Howdy Captain. Adam taking the Captain to Camden yards. Quite a daring move to say the least.
Boogs is always the right call at Camden, told ya! You would have loved Memorial Stadium back in the day, Adam. That place was always rocking.
