My grandfather was best friends with Babe Ruth. I've seen old family pictures with Babe having dinner with my mother's family, whenever he was in Baltimore. My mother was an elevator operator at the Bromo Seltzer Clock Tower building, where she met my father, who worked for an insurance company in the tower building. My grandfather (George Most) was also a well known magician, who studied under Harry Houdini. Thanks for the videos!
@dwayne3466 your family has a great history linked to some of the greatest celebrities of the 20th century. Thank you for sharing it with us. 🙏🏻 The Babe and Harry Houdini!! 😊
I saw an Oriel's game at Memorial Stadium the last year it was in operation. It was not a gem of a ballpark. But I was glad I got to see a game there. Then on the way home to PA we hit a deer, but that's another story.
Philly captain is a good friend/he is very loyal to you. That’s wonderful. I follow him too and he cracks me up. He is hilarious -he is another legendary East Coast Vlogger 😂
This was a nice video. I've been a subscriber for years, but my daughter recently moved to a few blocks from Camden Yards, so I found this very interesting. She was at the Orioles game on Saturday. Thanks for the tour. People sometimes rag on Baltimore, but there are a lot of really nice parts of the city.
I am Baltimore born and raised but live overseas for last 25 yrs. Recently discovered Philly Captain, love ya videos Phil Cap- and his accent, tho slightly different then a Baltimorean/ Baltimorese-accent reminds of a Baltimore accent, the slow drawl and some words drawn out. I love ir. Even more recent discovered The Daily Woo......thanks for coming to Baltimore, and I m due back in Sept. Want to see Poe s Grave as well as the catacombs so thanks for covering that as well !! Good work !!
Really liked seeing Camden Yards in your video. It was funny, I dont know if you noticed it. At the 32:00 mark there are people sitting way up above and they can be see above the clock. WOW
After watching this video I finally made the connection that the Baltimore Ravens being named the way they are is a Poe reference (or at least I assume it is lol due to his connection to the city.
Thanks for a brief look at the Brooks Robinson statue! That was my era of fandom of the Orioles, up until Cal Ripken. now I know nada about them! Thanks for the video!

Enjoyed you and the Philly Captain! He’s a character! I’m in Delaware and we are hard core Phillies/Eagles fans. Going to see Phillies and Orioles play on Fathers Day! My daughter is in Baltimore and have enjoyed a lot of the local haunts you visited today. I love your mission of seeing the Rays play in different ball parks! I’m also a Poe fan and visited his sites. He’s been everywhere! Saw his room at UVA when he was a student there for a short time. Enjoy your time there!⚾️⚓️🦀
But that is a contradiction in terms, for you can’t simultaneously grow up and become this guy because you would have to not grow up to be this guy. Catch my drift?
I was there in 2005 (Orioles vs Rockies). I lived in Simi Valley, CA at the time, so the CoRox was a coincidence. I met the Boog also (I have a pic of him). A highlight in meeting the Boog was that I wore my Dodgers practice jersey. Boog talked about his last year in the majors, how he loved playing for the Dodgers. Great guy!
Never thought of Baltimore of the history you guys brought out in this video, plus the bizarre buildings. Strange city . Always really enjoy when The Philly Captain joins in with commentary and comical input to the story, Enjoy the ball game !
Babe Ruth used to come do hitting instructions after he retired in my home town. He would stay for months at a time teaching kids how to hit in 1940/41. A lot of memorabilia and rooms in Palatka, Florida still the same as when he stayed in them.

Born, Raised, and still live in Maryland. Many memories of going to Baltimore to the Inner Harbor, Orioles, Ravens, and Blast Indoor Soccer Games growing up. And even though Baltimore is not a Ice-Hockey Hotbed. It is my 2nd favorite Sport, next to Soccer that is, The Tampa Bay Lightning are my 2nd favorite Ice-Hockey Team next to the Caps of course.

Great day Adam and I love that stadium 🏟️ and I will say of all the different stadiums you’ve been to they all look better than Dodger stadium out here, now I wanted to mention years ago I happened to look through a book that had pictures of all the different stadiums 🏟️ around the country and if you don’t already have one I was thinking maybe you could get a book that has all the different stadiums so you have a remembrance of the stadiums 🏟️ you’ve been to also before I forget it was great seeing the Philly Captain again, now with that peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Adam and I’ll see you on the next vlog adventure wherever it takes you peace ☮️ out ✌️
Having grown up in Baltimore County, I’ve visited a lot of those places, from your last video as well. I used to work in downtown Baltimore and would have lunch at Lexington Market, and bought my wedding dress, also near there. Also, my grandparents were buried at Baltimore cemetery, I was trying to see if you were anywhere near where they were buried. I never knew the guy who made the Ouji board was buried in Baltimore! Like yourself never played it, something very creepy about them. Anyway, thank you for taking me down memory lane, since I haven’t been to that area of Baltimore in years, since I’ve moved to England some 31 years ago.
This was a really nice video hopefully plan to one day visit the Edgar Allen grave Poe grave and the ouija board grave on my bucket list ,I remember going to a Os game it was a lot of fun never knew there was that Babe Ruth museum Wow 🤯 I’ve been on those ships the submarine was very small and claustrophobic😳😰 love Baltimore 🧡
The Captain has actually been funny today!! Great video! I’ve even watched the whole baseball thing- which I rarely do, but that’s just me- baseball IS THEAMERICAN GAME!! Safe travels Adam!! Hello to the Captain!!
I love your friends voice! He's so energetic and expressive, and kinda sounds like a cartoon character 😀 Also - damn, that BBQ sandwich looked GOOD! Not usually interested in the sports / baseball centric videos, but i enjoyed this one. Baltimore seems neat. Certainly neater than the bits you showed yesterday anyway haha
Good morning Adam, as soon as i saw Philly Captain i knew it would be a good video, he is always funny and entertaining. You were in a better part of the city, yesterday those areas were very sketchy. From Universal Jamie.
Francis Scott Key is buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery located in Frederick, MD. You will have to Google Torsk Submarine for it's history and what it had looked like. @ 25:20 the stone with pennies is John Wilkes Booth' grave. Also buried in that cemetary is johnny Eck who was in the 1932 movie Freaks. There was also a madallion on the warehouse that was hit by Ken Griffey Jr during the All Star game in 1993.
Bro! I went to law school behind the graveyard. Lived across street off Fayette. Would visit Edgar Allen Poes graves before my finals for good luck. Thanks for sharing!!!
If you want good crabcakes in the area of Baltimore, Koco’s, Pappas, Box Hill, Nick’s Fish House, and Roy’s Kwik Korner are all really good. Also, since you liked Boog’s, I’d recommend Chaps and Pioneer Pit Beef.
When you were flying into BWI you were over the beautiful city of Annapolis Md (lots of American history there) along with the Naval Academy and the Chesapeake Bay.
Edgar Allan Poe is buried in Westminster Burial Ground in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. It's the historic cemetery associated with Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Fun fact: the modern Orioles were once called the St Louis Browns. When they were relocated, they took the name Orioles partially in honor of Babe Ruth. Decades later, the Cleveland Browns relocated to Baltimore, took the name Ravens in honor of Edgar Allen Poe. Kinda weird that 2 teams called the Browns moved to the same city, renamed themselves after a bird to honor a famous son of the city. I'm surprised it isn't pointed out more.
There is a Poe Avenue on Sullivan's Island, South Carolina. Poe was shipped to Sullivan's Island, South Carolina, a barrier island on Charleston Harbor, where he was stationed from November 1827 until December 1828.
The Power Plant used to hold an indoor theme park called "Six Flags Power Plant". That area under the middle was a larger B&N and the Phillips was the original ESPNZone restaurant.
Babe Ruth was what we'd call in cricket, a good all rounder. As he was a great pitcher, fielder and batter. He was initially signed as a pitcher, first time he attended a major league game, he was pitching top of the first innings
My daughter and her family are coming to Baltimore on Monday. My son in law is going to John’s Hopkins so he can get treatment for Aplastic Anemia. It is similar to leukemia.
Three things of interest for me in this video. The uncle of Edgar Allen Poe married into my family, they lived on Poe mountain in centre County Pa. Second, the third baseman for the Orioles when Cal Ripkin broke the record is a friend of mine. And thirdly Rembrandt Peale married into my family, he would be my second cousin in law. Now off the view the Captains post.
Babe Ruth and Billy Martin are both buried at Gate of heaven cemetery in Valhalla. Right down the street from them is the resting place of Lou Gherig who the disease is named after. right up the hill from Lou is my parents so when I go visit my parents, I always stop by and say hi to Lou

Glad you were able to experience some true Baltimore traditions on this day. Oriole Park at Camden Yards is a gem of a ballpark.
Great ballpark

Two mediocre teams? The Orioles are one of top teams in baseball. Not an intelligent comment.
