I like that She said "And you know what, they're right" in the trailer, it's parallel to Jack Ryan in bioshock saying at the beggining of the game "you know what, they were right" before plane crashing, Edit: Sorry I just notice everyone figure it out lol
A couple things I noticed: The character the trailer opens on is inside of pod- suggesting it is some kind of robot (supported perhaps by the "one of *them*" line.) We can see the same green hand orb on the robot in the scene after next, confirming the presence of some kind of in-universe semi-synthetic android. At 0:37 in the trailer, you can see a poster behind the gesturing Sheriff that reads "Authentic- What am I doing to protect Baby Cr *obscured*," while the poster on the other wall reads "Individual- be your unique (self?) one of the women in the poster is wearing a shirt that says "Love the Passion." Behind the dog robot in the following scene the sign reads "Now Boarding, Social Credit > 1000 Pilgrims Only, Violators Prosecuted The player character has a tattoo of a dog paw on her left wrist, visible during the incinerate reload scene. Seems Levine is once again returning to the symbolic wrist tattoo well. If I had to guess, it will have some kind of link to the very prominent animal theming found elsewhere. The posters found in this shot read "Perverted" and "Entitled" The gun that is pointed at the player's head at 0:56 seems to be made out of some kind of 3D printed plastic Looks like Levine might be taking another stab at the religious themes of Infinite
Seeing the green "hammer" seems to suggest that a rather large hammer will be the default melee weapon for Judas. Similar to Jack's wrench in Bioshock. Granted I'm just speculating.
@@TheBioshockHub she is also carrying a hammer at the beginning of the trailer when she is talking and drops it and it slides on the floor so could be 🤷♂️
Another interesting tidbit is that Judas has a dog paw tattoo on her wrist, visible when her hand lights on fire. It looks reminiscent of Jack's Chainlink wrist tattoos
There’s so much Bioshock DNA in this even in the small touches (appearing to have a hand tool (hammer) as the first weapon, and the main character having wrist tattoos like Jack)
Tbh Judas gives me Elizabeth vibes. Looks a bit like her and that quote at the end. Also Erik can you make lore videos about Rapture businesses starting with Sinclair Solutions?
Judas: “People say I had this coming… you know what…? They’re right….” Jack: “They told me… Son, you special… You were born to do great things… you know WHAT…? They were RIGHT…” Me: Ken Levine bro… What a major connection. Lol
Dude!!! That is absolutely like bioshock, look at where you paused the screen!! Look at that water at the bottom of the room the structure. It looks great!!! So exciting!! 🤯
@@TheBioshockHub I'm hyped, Bioshock is my favorite game of all time and this is looking great, hope Atomic Heart can deliver when it releases in a few months. Also the crossbow reminds me of the one from Rage.
I get that you are the Bioshock hub but I really appreciate you covering this game because I am so excited for Judas and other Bioshock like games from Ken Levine!!!
Yes it looks like a very interesting game very Bioshock inspired multiple endings also sounds like something that will be the case I wonder if the hammer is like a replacement for the wrench and bat hacking is also with the game I wonder if there will be any big daddy type enemies in the game also I guess we'll have to say also looks like there might be some kind of mutation on that girl so maybe that may come into play
Their sentence explains everything. "make or break alliances". I want to see this "new" formula of Ken Levine's called "narrative lego" and nothing more. Because I guess other things will be the same as other bioshock or systemshock games.
Sir, not a word about the sailor chanty ("Leave her Johnny leave her")? Not a word about "eat your cookie" ad that looks a lot about Ken? Let's replay it few more times, eh? 😀
Personally, I find the Bioshock influence jarring. It makes me question whether Levine is ready to move on, as well as whether his main message in Infinite ("I don't want to make the same game over and over again) means anything anymore. Though, I'm probably just overthinking it. The point about working with (and possibly betraying) allies does catch my interest, if only because it reminds me of one of the more interesting points from his Narrative Legos presentation: the idea of two players having conflicting alliances, with a co-op/ multiplayer experience being influenced by whether their allied to the same party or not. At the risk of digging up drama, what's your opinion of the controversy surrounding Judas (regarding Levine's leading style) that predated this announcement? Apologies if you find this matter too heated to discuss.
Seems to me like our protagonist in Judas is responsible for some kind of tragedy or something and has lost all memory of the events that transpired and we, as the players, will have the option to either redeem ourselves and atone for our sins, or we can become even more of a monster and destroy everything in our path. Really excited for this though, definitely see the Bioshock influences, looks super cool.
I was skeptical at first about this game, but I'm totally hyped by now so I have to absorb every last bit of information I can find. 😄 I also looked at Atomic Heart but it has way to much gore and horror elements for my taste so I'll be skipping that one. Have you watched Kanaju's analysis? At this early stage everything is just speculation of course, but if you zoom in on the trailer there are a lot more details and clues. But who knows, they might as well change the entire game until release as it was the case with "Bioshock Infinite". Although they seem to be very confident about it because they are already showing game-play elements. The BSI trailer was completely rendered back then.
This game looks very interesting, However i wouldn't call it an alternative universe of bioshock. This feels like a completely new & different game that does indeed have elements from Bioshock. Regardless im looking forward for it, this looks cool.
@@TheBioshockHub I will say, that i could be absolutely wrong and it can be like somewhat of an alternative universe, Maybe like some sort of Parallel World, that other crazy unrelated stuff are happening elsewhere.
what about Atomic Hearth, did you see the new trailer? To me it looks like similar to Bioshock but in Soviet Union. Cant wait to play it when it gets out :D
I’m honestly surprised that this was announced, came out of nowhere. I kinda thought Ken Levine would wait a few more years till the next generation of consoles came out. I do have high hopes, especially since he’s not involved in the new Bioshock or the Netflix adaption; both of which I’m terrified will be bad and not live up to the Bioshock name
@@TheBioshockHub yeah I don’t know what to think, but I am excited. Congratulations on how far you’ve taken the channel by the way, really happy for you

I can't wait either.

Stoked for this game. A spiritual successor to Bioshock like Bloodborne was to Dark Souls

For your reaction to this
Maybe it's because I've played it recently, but I got some Prey (2017) vibes combined with the old Metropolis movie.
Yup! A lot of people have compared Bioshock and Prey together a lot, from what I've seen
I like this guy he reminds me of an Alaskan Tlingit they were drunk

The main character could be voiced by either Courtney Draper or Juliet Landau
