When a *teen* says that pregnancy runs in your family, itʼs just so sad to hear that.. Being a mom while being a baby yourself is just way too young. Iʼm a teen & this scares me.
Teen pregnancy runs in my best friend's family so much... Her mum had her at 18, her mum's first younger sister had then her first daughter at 16 and the youngest sister had her first daughter at 14... At least none of their children got pregnant as teenagers so far, but it was very sad to see this happen to all the siblings at younger and younger ages, even though I was still relatively young myself.
It can be scary, but it doesn't have to be your own reality! Either practice safe s*x (and make your partner do it too), or stay celibate until you graduate and get your life more established. The latter option is harder & requires some study and even trial and error, but there's definitely no teen pregnancy that way!
I can tell the dad has really emotionally checked out of the situation all he can do is give guidance. When the boy said “it’s really simple” and he said “you silly kids” I could see he wanted to let them have a piece of his mind 😂😂😂
A very small amount of people have one sexual partner at a time, but yea the rates are sky high these days. This new generation has basically normalized herpes

Yeah, tell that to MTV who most likely won’t take responsibility for kind of causing this mess in my opinion. Sex is sex and it’ll happen regardless if they made their shows or not, but sensationalizing it is dangerous. I hated it then and I hate it even more now since I work in education. I see kids that are here as a result of this culture of negligence outlets like MTV kind of started.
@@sosmooth13 I always took the all those shows as a cautionary tales on the hardships of teen pregnancy. Yes, they end up making money from the show but they show them struggling at the beginning and they continue to struggle with other personal issues. Custody battles, mentally unstable, abusive relationships, just terrible relationships, mental health issues, arrest for drugs, domestic abuse ect. They only showcase the most dramatic couples, anyone doing fine if just a side story that ends up phased out of the show. They don't glorify teen pregnancy the make it look horrible and show how these teens have mental health issues on occasion the will show or talk about the mental trauma of the kids.
I was terrified of becoming a teen mom at that age . The teen pregnancy rate is so high my high school had to put a day care in the school because so many girl were dropping out to take care of their kid (s). My sister was one of them . Seeing my sister and other girls struggle was enough of a deterrent for me
He's got that Michael Scott energy: "But, at the end of my life, when I'm sitting on my yacht, am I gonna be thinking about how much money I have? No. I'm going to be thinking about how many friends I have, and my children, and my comedy albums. I mean, I have a yacht, so I obviously did pretty well money-wise.”
I remember being 15 and not wanting a boyfriend because they would ask for sex. It was a terrifying thing that would cause me anxiety. Now in my 30's in a 13 year relationship and done raising babies (now older kids). I'm glad I felt that way. I can't imagine these kids wanting to grow up so fast.
Meanwhile my parents had me young and actually taught me the consequences of teen pregnancy. So I felt the same as you, didn't want to be pregnant, wanted to experience literally anything else instead. So both my sister and I are now in our 20's and neither of us have babies yet, we got taught a good lesson lol
And let me add that THANK GOODNESS I didn't have a baby when I was their age because I'm nearly 25 and still feel like a dumb@ss 90% of the time. There is no way I woulda been able to raise a child properly that young
The one thing I don't get though is how the daughter's parents are mad and holding the guy responsible (and rightfully so) but, are not saying anything to their daughter at all. It takes two people to make a baby and her parents should have taught her not to give in to this kind of pressure and tell her how teen pregnancy can be damaging in real life.
I felt like the dad was holding them accountable by that “silly kids” comment. That and the fact his daughter was quick to correct herself by saying she’ll have her boyfriends money when originally, she implied she was expecting her parents to contribute.🤣
Its possible the parents have already had those conversations with their daughter in private, and now they're on TV having that conversation with the BF.
@@tommyjones6866 well why grill the young man on tv then? Maybe they should be adults, watch after they daughter, and talk to him off camera too. That’s jus my opinion. Can’t be one sided
I am a child born within similar circumstances and have lived my teens to my early twenties telling people how having a child so young and unprepared can fuck you up in many ways. My mother had me barley half way into college and I saw the struggle she went through to provide. Please please please, don't have a kid when you know your still young and haven't fully understood yourself because being raised by someone who hasn't had a full adult experience and is raising you as they go can fuck up a kids childhood. People who think early and late teen pregnancy is cute need to see the perspective of children who grow up in this environment. The harsh truth is that majority aren't prepared and often raise their kids within a shaky foundation. I can recall the number of times we moved, stayed with relatives and often had to seek help and handouts because she didn't even have enough experience to get a job. Not to mention the instability kids can bring into the relationship between the parents at such a young age. Its not easy and all the people I know who've gone down that route only get to see what I was talking about when the baby is born. The difference between them and us who don't have kids is night and day. They all text me saying how stressful it is and how they wish they waited or could turn back time. Save yourself the emotional burden, financial issues, baby momma drama, in-law and custody disputes that come with it and build a solid foundation.
Thank you for sharing! Although I’m not a child of teen pregnancy, I do tell people this all the time when they talk about having children and they have zero adult experience. Their actions eventually affect their children. Some turn out like you who warn others to wait and others never break the cycle. My sister’s former classmate is a teen mom (I don’t know if she’s 20 yet but she had her first child before they graduated high school). This same girl is someone who is all-around toxic. She turned to online schooling ecause of “bullying,” when in reality, people were no longer tolerating her dangerous lies if she couldn’t get what she wanted out of them. Fast forward to a recent phone call with a friend and this girl is now divorcing the man of her children because he’s apparently abusing her. It’s an instance of The Boy Who Cried Wolf but I feel for her children.
Thank you for sharing this, as a man who weirdly has baby fever and for the mere fact that I am naturally a selfless person and I end up giving my all to those who don't deserve it, I always feel like having someone of my own would be awesome because I will devote my everything into this person and we will always be together and learn from each other, it does make sense to think of having kids in that way BUT the points that you are raised are utterly profound and informative, what if you are African and your Mom always give hints that wants a granchild🙃
@@high-fimusik8543 The grandchild narrative is a huge problem in Africa because majority of African parents followed their ancestor in early marriage. We have problems here and there but we always come back to center, which in turn is better for our baby girl.

If you’re having a child, your bank account needs to see a MINIMUM of $1000 a week. If you intend to raise that child responsibly with all necessities and in a reasonable environment. And it’s STILL going to be hard. “Save up and become a millionaire in 10 years” if he can manage that, he needs to write a book😹 A kid with fresh out of highschool with no experience, and with no serious connections AND having to cope with the STRESS of raising a child? Speaking from experience I never had kids that I had a friend who had a kid at the age of 15. We're both 23 now one thing he wish he never did was having the kid. He told me he got to pay $300 of child support. He went to jail one time for not paying the child support because he didn't have the money at the time. He told me it's hard to date because most women don't want to date a guy who already got a kid. He's dealing with custody battle. He's working 60 to 70 hours almost to 100 hours every two weeks. I mean I had to pray for the guy. I've always worn a condom.
Dude I’ve never heard of this channel before but I’m 100% subscribing. Your observation on Maxs face being compacted at the center was so spot on, it’s scary.
I honestly have a lot of hate for MTV for this. Like, it’s personal lol. My ex gf pressured me so badly into having a kid that we broke up and I never want to have kids now. She went through some things like losing a child after birth before I dated her, and her sisters all had children young like their mom had them, but the amount of pressure was too much despite how much I tried to understand where she was coming from. Now I cringe at baby posts, “mama bear” shit, and people that make having children their goal. Children are NOT here to fill a void and make YOU happy.
Actually, teen births have been in decline since 1991 - and there's nothing glamorous about those MTV shows. Any girl idolizing those chick's has other deeper rooted problems.

Years ago (age 15), my half sister was born. Family didn't have much money so we had to share rooms. The constant crying and diaper changes seemed almost endless. It was emotionally amd financially draining on my mom. It made me realize that I did not want kids until marriage. Now, my son is 6 and being a parent is still hard. The only thing to make it somewhat easier is to move up in your career. The teen dad is a idiot. Idk what where the hell he got that idea but that's not how life works.
Yes- I was wondering if anyone else noticed he looks like he has fetal alcohol syndrome. Someone else commented he was on drugs and went to jail for assaulting her
At the time my husband and I were trying, I was coinincidentally given an assignment (grad school) at school named "how much does a baby cost?" We had to estimate how many diapers and other needs were required in the newborn/infancy period and itemize the costs. It was eye-opening to me, an adult, in grad-school, in a stable and loving marriage. I imagine that this couple would benefit from such an assignment. I plan to do this assignment (but including social costs and child care) with my children when they are teens.

The latter option is harder & requires some study and even trial and error, but there's definitely no teen pregnancy that way!
i'm an infant and this scared me
There is a common denominator. The parents.
I can tell the dad has really emotionally checked out of the situation all he can do is give guidance. When the boy said “it’s really simple” and he said “you silly kids” I could see he wanted to let them have a piece of his mind 😂😂😂
When I was 16 I hit my uncle with his car, my father did the same, runs in the family
Now this is hereditary!
what did your uncle do to your father and you? will your children hit him too later on?

It’s only fitting your uncle takes one last hit from your son 🤝🔗

Remember what Rick from Rick and Morty said about romantic love: It's a hard hitting chemical reaction. Break the cycle, rise above, focus on science!

Considering the fact that teen pregnancy runs in the family, sex education should have been their top priority.
@@TheMedicatedArtist hell yea dude! You got that right!!

The shifting eyes scream "HELP ME". Nah bro. You made this bed, time to lay down.
Thanks for sharing
Spitting nothing but facts.
