Amazingly timed IHHA. 16 hours ago, I had my Ukrainian Refugees move in with me. This is a big game changer. I love them so much. They don't speak English. I am now realizing how much more I need to go. Mildly put - I know more Ukrainian than they know English. Everything you do is a massive help to me.
I think I learn most when I hear natives speakers speak in everyday conversation. I learned so much listening to the conversation at the end. I learned phrases like «Як сказати» which I feel will be super handy when talking to natives. You should do more videos like this Inna I really enjoyed it a lot 💙
I have two Ukrainian friends here in the US that I’m with often. They speak with me and with each other, and I learn a lot that way. The best way to learn is to immerse yourself in the language and force yourself to pick up and understand it.
It’s true, I learned mostly from listening to podcasts and speaking with native speakers. I just started a formal course to improve my grammar and my level is so much higher than the other students in the class
I have not started to learn Ukrainian yet, but I could grasp the idea around the conversion about cafe, tea etc.I have been to Ukraine 3 times before the war and I found my Ukrainian wife there. But my aim is to learn Ukrainian in secret and one of these days completely take her by surprise. 😉
Thank you for the great tips and for sharing your conversation with Candace. I could understand about 80% because it was on just a couple of topics. It is so true that when you speak on a specific topic it helps so much rather than random unknown topics.
Your e-books "Master Ukrainian Cases" and "Easy Ukrainian Dialogues" and flash cards and Speak Ukrainian Application are very good! I recommend everybody to use them if he or she wants to learn Ukrainian language. :) Very good work Inna! :) All your videos are very good too. :)
Loved hearing the conversation! Would love love love it if you posted more conversations like that! I had my Google Translate open the whole time translating words I wasn’t familiar with. By the way, the show she mentioned was The Apprentice not the princess 😁
The weirdest meet up of foreigners I've ever witnessed was in a butcher shop in Kentucky. Two of the other guys in line with me at the counter turned out to both be veterans of the Rhodesian Army (now Zimbabwe), and neither one had any idea there was another former Rhodesian even living in Kentucky, much less a fellow Rhodesian army veteran. It was bizarre, and extremely entertaining. Their eyes were as big as saucers when they realized it.
I met some Ukrainians the other day it was the perfect opportunity to speak Ukrainian, I didn't want to offend them, I was so nervous I got shy and just went quite I was angry at myself afterwards. 😑
Are there any Ukrainian speakers who can help me learn Ukrainian, and get to Ukraine by the end of the year? I have to get some stuff in order before I can commit to movement to Europe and fighting Russian forces to help, such as my will, my paperwork, and acquiring gear where I will land so that I can be ready when I arrive.

That was a great example дякую. I understood everything about the coffee, tea, food, and upcoming plans! That’s encouraging 🤓.

Surprised that I actually understood a lot of the coffee discussion!

I was able to follow about 85% of the conversation between Inna and her friend.
I met some Ukrainians the other day it was the perfect opportunity to speak Ukrainian, I didn't want to offend them, I was so nervous I got shy and just went quite I was angry at myself afterwards. 😑
Hahahahaha I total understand that feeling! I think that the Ukrainians that I have met might think that Im a weirdo!!
I knew what I wanted to say in my mind but yeah, I just got nervous and couldn't say anything I felt like an idiot. Ahhh well.

Lots of Ukrainians in Winnipeg. Should be no problem finding a native speaker.
I would like to speak Ukrainian

I speak English
creole

I am a native speaker, who needs some help I will be happy to help.
