      Yes it is a great festival, very friendly and easy going and this enormous lineup. Plus all the other stuff is great, food, drinks etc. Feel free to reach out metalandrockzone@gmail.com if you have some specific questions, I have been there quite often and live in Prague, but from iceland.

    I enjoyed all the bands I saw and my top 5 is (no particular order) Be'lakor, Shadow of Intent, Carpenter Brut, Perturbator and Archspire. I was surprised by Zeal & Ardor and Horskh. A bit disappointed by Heilung and Anaal Nathrakh concerts. The previous times I saw these two the shows were better. I like that BA allows some electronic music artists to play on the big stages as well because I like industrial, EBM and synthwave as well (Carpenter Brut and Perturbator this year, Front Line Assembly and Combichrist previous years). I do understand that it's not everyone's cup of tea especially on extreme metal festival.
    I would say that Insanity Alert had the best interaction with the crowd. I only watched them on tv inside the fortress walls chill area but it looked fun.
    They usually play some ambient or electronic musinc on the small KAL (Keep Ambient Lodge) stage where you can chill on the couches. Unfortunatelly this is year I was not there much because I either had clashes or the music was not interesting to me.
    A lot of people were commenting on the lack of the drinkable water. I did not use the tanks myself but they should definitely add more next time because apparently there were like 20+ minutes queues to get the water. Same with the non-alcoholic beer. I was fine with the current options but I understand that people want more variety.
    The last downside I can think of is the Octagon stage. They had to move the stage from Bastion area where postapo convoy had the base to Octagon area because of the building statics in Bastion. Apparently it was not suitable for a stage. That move made the path through fortress (from main stages to KAL/Obscure stage) congested in the evening when bads played at Octagon stage which made a lot of people angry. They made it one way only but they need to think of better solution of they have to have Octagon stage next year.
    Let the year-long wait for the next one begin.

      Thanks for watching and sharing your points. Many are talking about Shadow if Intent, clearly need to check them out. I never really reached the Octagon area because I always had something at the other 3 stages I wanted to see. This festival is the ultimate fear of missing out panic that one can have! And yes, now it is only 358 days until the next BA!

      If you like deathcore, then definitely go for it. I prefer their older releases as they shifted a bit in the recent albums but I still very much enjoy their music.
      Yeah, you can have 4 stages playing around the same time although you would have to be really unlucky to have clash on all 4 stages :D

    In my opinion Crisix, Angelus Apátrida and Brand of Sacrifice were the best bands on the festival.

    I thought Meshuggah played a good set, Ingested were also good.
    The absolute best investment of the festival was the Natural Stage, being able to sit up on the verge and see the bands when you want to take a break from standing at the front!

    • @metalandrockzone
      @metalandrockzone  10 месяцев назад

      Yes I think many were happy with Meshuggah, I just can't seem to force myself to like them. It was cool and all that but too sterile somehow. I didn't see ingested but heard people praise them. Thanks for watching, and yes the natural terrace there is super nice

    Marduk blew away EVERY band that played before them, Mortuus just shadowed every other single vocalist. Dying Fetus, Benediction, Skinless, Misthyrming, Ingested, Cult of Luna, Russian Circle... ah, and Messa. These were the best performers.

      This is what I love about BA, you can see so many bands that it is almost as if we were in different festivals me and you! I saw Misþyrming though out of your list, I just had to since these are my fellow countrymen! They were great. I am a bit sad I didn't see Marduk, great band. Thanks for watching.
