Hi ! I have a question for you :) I have a GS300 with Pioneer F920BT after market radio. All my speakers are stock and I have the subwoofer. I connect all the wire, my speakers and radio work well but the Subwoofer do not work. Want can I do to use it again ?
Hi, this requires the professional to take a look at your specific install and connections. We recommend that you consult with the car stereo shop in your area. All GROM products integrate with the original factory stereos and sound systems, and work with all speakers and subwoofers.
Kourosh Azizi yes correct. You connect GROM harness to the available port, and it there was something disconnected - reconnect it back to the other end of GROM specific Y harness. Thank you.
Yes, correct - both the wiring and the communication protocols are different, this is why there is the compatibility list for each GROM product. You can access the GROM compatibility guide here: gromaudio.com/grom_application_guide.pdf Thank you.
Not for 1998-2000 GS430 vehicle, sorry. GROM supports some 1999 Lexus vehicles, that include Lexus ES 300/330/350 1999-2001 (non-Nakamichi stereo only) Lexus RX 300 1999-2000 (non-Nakamichi stereo only) Lexus RX 300 2001-2003 (non-Nakamichi stereo only) gromaudio.com/store/usb_adapters/grom-usb3-toyf.html If your vehicle is not supported by GROM, I recommend to look into some other options, maybe FM transmitters or cassete adapters (not the best quality I know, but better than nothing). Thank you for your interest in GROM products and technology!
Hello, unfortunately, it is not compatible. I recommend you send us a photo of your stereo while playing in FM mode. We will double-check it, just in case.
You do not have to get the aftermarket radio, GROM products integrate with the factory stereo. Please see here what fits to your vehicle: gromaudio.com/store/all-toyo_lex3_.html Thanks!
+Jae M it powers up from the car when the engine is turned on, and does not have to be recharged. It will get a sleep as soon as the car is turned off. Thank you.
Sorry to ask, i didn't see the answer on your website. Do you ship to France ? Im intersted by a bluetooth, android kit for a Lexus GS 03' thanks for answer.
Yes we ship to France. You can check the shipping rates here: gromaudio.com/store/shipping.html For Lexus GS 03' you can choose any from the list here: gromaudio.com/store/all-toyo.html Thank you.
hello, 2004 gs430 with an external disc changer. I've been seeing videos of people removing disc changer from glove. Do I have to go in the glovebox and unplug the disc changer for it to work with the GROM AUX?
It is better to check with car stereo specialist in your area, they will be able to help you. The aftermarket stereos vary, so hard to advise from the distance.
Hello, unfortunately 1999 GS400 is not supported by GROM. Complete compatibility list for GROM kits is available at gromaudio.com/grom_application_guide.pdf Thank you.
+Raymond Broderick yes you are correct. at 2:56 you need to reconnect the OEM plug back to the GROM harness. If you don't do that the steering wheel controls will stop working. We mention that in the text.
We have not tested GROM on this vehicle, so we have no reports. It depends if the stereo has the extension plug for GROM to plug into. If the plug is there, the GROM product should work. Note that the disk player in the glove box will be disconnected. Please refer to the document here: gromaudio.com/docs/compatibility_chart.pdf scroll down to Toyota and check if you have the plugs that are needed for GROM to connect. You might also be able to connect in the glove box at the CD changer location. I also recommend to check with GROM tech support at gromaudio.com/support.html Thank you!
I own a 2004 Lexus gs300. I'm having problems removing three 10mm screws out of the radio mount. When I attempted to remove the screws with a ratchet or a screwdriver/turbo socket, they spun. Can you recommend me an effective method or a stronger tool that could remove stripped, stubborn screws from a car audio mount?
+tomahawk3 You need to try to get the threads on the bolt to catch and hopefully it will back out, you can either try putting your socket on the 10mm bolt and try to put pressure at an angle on it and see if it will catch a thread. or you can try to wedge something like a flat screw driver between the bolt and the bracket and pry it out while you are turning the socket wrench.
If you are asking about VLine (gromaudio.com/vline/), you will need navigational stereo to be compatible with GROM VLine. For the stereo like the on ein the video regular GROM USB, Android, iPhone and Bluetooth car kits will work. gromaudio.com/store/usb_adapters/grom-usb3-toyn.html Thank you.
Great video that is not too fast and thorough! I also appreciate steps in text in screen as well!!

GROM Audio at 3:00, just to be clear we should connect those two unconnected pieces to one another, correct?
Kourosh Azizi yes correct. You connect GROM harness to the available port, and it there was something disconnected - reconnect it back to the other end of GROM specific Y harness. Thank you.
So I see that there's no kits for 1998-2000..why is that? Is there a difference in the wiring? Why does no one have a kit? I'm curious. Thank you!
Yes, correct - both the wiring and the communication protocols are different, this is why there is the compatibility list for each GROM product.

GROM Audio so then, besides a Grom kit, do you know of any options I have for installing Bluetooth with the oem head unit?

yes you will need to unplug external CD changer in order for GROM kit to work.
thank you
Do you have to unplug the harness from the changer to get the IPD3 unit to work?
External CD changer have to be disconnected in order for GROM to work, build-in will continue to work.
Thanks for update.
Thanks, one thing not addressed is how you power the stock sub without adding a different amplifier
there is no change to the stock sub, GROM connects to the back of the stereo to the CD changer or extension port and does not affect stock sub at all.
Where can i buy the piece i need to use blue tooth music from my phone?
Please check gromaudio.com
Would this work for the Mark Levinson sound with Nav?
Yes it will work with Mark Levinson sound with Nav. Thank you.
