- In this video I unbox and install the 3-piece gloss black ikon Motorsports Diffuser for the 2016-2022 model Camaro. This is an ikon Motorsports part but I ordered it through Next-Gen Speed. At 18:57 looking at the edges, you can see that it isn't flush with the bumper (you can see the clips and see through to the other side, barely). This is the issue most people (myself included) have with the bumper not being a perfect flush fit. Did you ever manage to get it a more snug fit? To where you can't see through at all. Or barely (less than the mentioned timestamp).
I did get it to sit flush, it looks almost perfect now

Finally put mine on last night. Was a nightmare. Major problems at the part of putting the new one on the bumper couldn't get the tabs on the far left and far right sides to apply the alligator clip thru that big center plastic peice.
I just received mine today. Going to try and install tomorrow lol. I hear it’s a pain to install but I plan on removing bumper
@@iceduppatriot3856 oh... yea I removed the bumper and it was still a pain. I have no idea how much trouble it must have been with the bumper on

I just finished installing mine I did how ever noticed a slight gap after installing the bumper back onto the car. All clips are in place but the gap is still there on the corner of the bumper closer to the tail light. Has this happened to anyone one?

Thanks so much for this video. I was thinking of getting one for my 2023 2SS. Does it fit the way it should, no gaps or visible slots for the tabs? I read some reviews so I wanted to ask for your input. Thanks again, love your content!
Glad I could help. Mine fits perfect. There have been a few that have gaps, think it’s just luck of the draw
I feel like Chevy should’ve done better with the body style for the camero especially if your gonna keep the same style body at least make the bumper look good so when people pull up behind the car they’ll know your in a 2SS or better just like dodge got some what different looks for the scats and cats

If the right side of my back bumper looks a little loose what could be the problem?
There are 2 versions of the IKON rear diffuser. You have the more aggressive of the 2 which I am leaning towards. Have you heard if one version sits better on the bumper than the other? Really want this to fit clean with no gaps.
I’ve had both versions, used the other on my old car. This one looks better, mine fit perfect but have heard a few people say they can’t get rid of the gaps in theirs. The other one fit pretty snug against the car, but in my case, this one did as well

I put a few back on, some wouldn’t go back on

Doesn’t look like it on my invoice, but they did charge a $4 shipping protection

A lot of people seem to have that problem. Think it’s just luck of the draw as far as the mold of the part. Mine hasn’t had any gaps yet

I just installed my diffuser, I was wondering were you able to reinstall all the alligator clips back on? I could not install two. One on the far left and one on far right. Behind the new design moulding, could not push diffuser back.
My old car I wasn’t able to, this car I was able to. I’ve seen where some people have left off the plastic OEM piece that slips over the metal bumper, and is attached to the back of the plastic bumper and it fits better. I done that as well
Are you telling me they didn't reinstall the Fascia Energy Absorber ?

How and where exactly did you shave the clips for the new diffuser? I’m running into the same issue
The small clip located on the ends of the diffuser that slide into the pieces you have to attach, just shaved it thinner with an exacto
Hello friend. I have a problem installing my diffuser. I tried to install but it stays that way. Do I have to remove everything to make it look good
I have found that removing the bumper can give the best fitment

No gap on mine but I’ve had multiple people ask the same because theirs did
@@JCSCUSTOMS sweet I’ve been thinking about adding the diffuser to mine but I saw in a review that there was a gap. I’m thinking they probably didn’t put it on right or they didn’t remove their bumper and tried to install it with the bumper on

How was fitment on your mine has a small gap where bumper curves ?
Mine fit surprisingly well considering the other one I put on my last car had small gaps. This one fit like a glove, no gaps
Luckily mine is black so kinda hides the gap , lol it bugs me but love the look
We’re you able to get all the alligator clips back on only two of mine seemed to line up

Did you ever get the Smoked Rear Diffuser Reflectors
No I just tinted mine
They sent me my reflectors ahead of the diffuser and I don't like the way they look. They don't look smoked Red and they look like more white to me.
Just ordered one of these BUT they TAKE forever to Process and Ship! Will not be buying anything else from them 😒😒 are they short staffed?
You’ll like it! I don’t really know. Anything I’ve ever bought from them was at my house within a week. Could be the time of year being that they probably just had a big amount of orders come through during Christmas

Is there anyway to find out what size screws go on the side peices that connect it to the main piece? They were left out of mine and no one will respond to me by email or phone
Don’t think I know of one. They were tiny self tapping and maybe a centimeter long if that

I wish there was an easier way to be able to install one without the removal of the bumper. Bummer
You can still take it off without removing the bumper, but you do run a risk. I’ve seen people do it👍🏼

I got the same one from Auto addicts. Terrible company. They didn't wrap the smaller side peices and they slid back and forth in the box during shipment. They will not respond back to me
