From 9 - 14 they play their preferred positions.. From 14 then play to their strongest strengths regardless of your preferred position. So they learn certain traits while growing. No player is groomed for two positions. James was about to be dropped and released as a striker and forward by Chelsea before a coach recommend right back. Because of his strength and pace. He needed to learn to tackle.

And poch did that the whole of the first half of the season that's why chelsea is struggling. Playing Gallagher @ CAM.. Chillwell @ LW. Colwill @ left back. Maatsen @right wing disasi @ RB. Jackson @LW. Palmer @ false 9. All this while the main players of these positions were available. If he stopped playing Enzo long time ago we would be higher on the table and probably could've beat Liverpool kids in that final and could've reached FA Cup final. Reason why we are in this mess has nothing to do with footballing ability, has everything to do with amount of injuries we sustained over the year and how some of the players were too stuborn to get much needed surgeries ( RJ&Enzo ).
Lavia didn't play a game, Nkkuku was out for most of the season, Gusto had injuries, Colwill is injured..
Just try to look at the table of injuries acrosss the season, not a single team was hit as hard as we did.
Once Enzo is back and fit he slots in team in a heartbeat just like how he Dominated LFC in the beginning of the season, who'd tell that a player not suffering excruciating pain can be good

They're young players, they want to play, even against better judgment.
Enzo is generational talent and sadly Hernia will hamper him for rest of his carrer, he'll still be able to show levels well over 30games a season, but he needs to protect himself otherwise he'll become injury stricken in EPL and will be forced to move in less phyisical league.
