  • We speak about how politics, ideas, and culture are connected, if individuals and ideas shape social change more than institutional networks and social structures, the ideal of the neutral institution. We also speak about libertarianism, the problem of empathy, disability, gratitude, immigration, and much more.

I heard both of your talks at NatCon UK. They both were excellent.

Conservatism, liberalism and libertarianism need to go. The future ironically something like a modern version of Aristotle and Confucian vision of humanity as as ordered system with many different people working towards personal and collective virtue to build a harmonious and beautiful society. The atomized individualism and utilitarian pleasure seeking or economic parasitic maximization has no future. We need a vision that can offer people a meaningful purposeful existence with an identity and stake in their community. We should care more about being a virtuous man or woman living with given and take with society rather than narcissistic “living out best life.”
