Even Aubrey Plaza thinks that Abby should have ended up with Riley instead of Parker in the end. I can understand why Harper was reluctant to come out to her ultra Conservative parents, but she repeatedly threw her own girlfriend under the bus to save her own skin.

I understand Kristen’s character because Christmas sucks when u get to a certain age and it seems like that the one holiday you fight with your family the most.

I feel like any holiday is hard when they all get advertised as big family events and you don't have one. Times like that is when you miss them the most, so it's relatable that Kristens character doesn't celebrate christmas

Mackenzie Davis, the actress who plays Harper is also in a lesbian TV movie/ episode of Black Mirror called San Junipero. It's one of the best things I've ever seen, great unexpected unique story, twists and turns, makes you cry, definitely one to put on your list :)

The first thing I thought of when I watched this movie when it came out is that I could never go through another relationship like this again. I understand not everyone feels safe coming out, but I cannot spend my time and emotional effort in a relationship where I have to keep track of the lies they make to stay in the closet. The last ex of mine who was in this situation wasn’t even kind enough to tell me the lies ahead of time so I was finding all sorts of stuff out “about” me when her parents would ask me questions about things she told them. I would also never expect anyone to come out for me, I just will not allow myself to be put back into the closet for the sake of a relationship, and I’d rather be single than in a situation like Abby was in this movie.
Through the end of the movie, I wished it finished with Harper working on herself and being happy in her own identity and Abby ending up in a secure relationship with Riley.
They really need to normalize picking the second love interest in movies. Riley was so much better for her. And David, it doesn't have to be horror every week. I love them, but I also love you reacting to gay and camp movies. Feel free to add more variety to your videos.

No, you're not alone. We all wonder how after they started filming they did realize thr connection with Riley and harper. It honestly sucked to watch this "love story" play out because of the way harper was treated. She deserves better. And id want Riley. 🤣🤣
I didn't know how much I needed ZZavid to react to gay Christmas movies until now! I love this wholesome hallmark channel!
I think the “surprise, he’s cheating with a chick” moment was supposed to be a “don’t judge a book by its cover” moment. It was hella forced but whatever. Also, there are plenty of men out here having sex with chicks but are still queer as hell or no where near hetero when it comes to the sexual, affection, romantic, emotion spectrum.
This is a passable enough movie. But the general conceit and tone is a bit dated. It’s another “gay movie” that feels about 20 years late. Also, whether she was struggling with being out or not, they just made Harper too basic and unlikable and too willing to throw someone she supposedly loves and is committed to under the bus. It was impossible to root for their relationship by the end.
All of this. I did not like this movie, it gave me the weirdest, most backwards-ass 1990s sentiments. Uh uh. No thank you.

I cried really hard the first time I watched Happiest Season especially the scene when they were talking and how the mom and dad were expressing themselves and what they have been trying to hide to seem like a picture perfect family....

The ending pissed me off because Harper forced Abby into getting back together by guilting her. I hated the ending which made me hate the movie. And the family suddenly is accepting? The mom was a bitch for the entire movie until the last 15 mins and I'm supposed to believe she's changed? No thank you. Also they wrote Jane as autistic based on her actions.
I suggest you watch “Krampus” soon!! It’s a horror Christmas film, it’s kind of a mix of scary stories to tell in the dark and hereditary!!
