I seriously think the heavy makeup they did for legolas in The Hobbit probably to replicate legolas in lotr was extremely unnecessary. I think he look just great in his natural look, he just look like his 20-plus-year-old self in this video. And also, his contacts in the hobbit was a very light blue color whilst it's ocean blue in lotr I think that's pretty much why he looked a wee bit different in the hobbit but anyways Orlando is so perfect for his Legolas role, no one can play it like he did. Wish I could see him in HBO's targaryen prequel as a Targaryen tho, really a fan of him since lotr. 🤣😅💓

Look it up, Orlando Bloom will be in the 2nd and 3rd Hobbit movies as Legolas. Yes, I have read the book about 5 times at least and I know he is not in it. But if you have read The Fellowship of the Ring you should know that Prince Legolas comes from the Wood Elves in Mirkwood. It makes complete sense to show King Thranduil with his son Legolas by his side in the movie.

He might capture the dwarfs in Mirkwood, according to the Comic-Con footage. Also he meets Bard the Bowman, according to a new photo released. So maybe we will even see him in The Battle of Five Armies? I hope so.

I think they call them the scale doubles, they are more for height rather than stunts. His name is Kiran Shah. Viggo talks about him in an interview back on the Lord of the Rings appendices, they had a special and hilarious bond.
