Oak Ridge High School Marching Band perform at the Lone Star Preview 2016. This band was awesome! The Lone Star Preview was at CISD Woodforest Bank Stadium in Shenandoah, Texas.
I remember how amazing we felt when we got those uniforms brand new!

Question: is marching band a required thing for their band kids to do?
Some High School you have to try out for marching band
+Shelby Brown As one of the marching baritones players in this band, conventional brass and woodwind instruments are put in the marching spots on the field (we tried out for the marching spots, the rest were put in the props). The odd instruments ( i.e bassoon, oboe, etc.) are put into battery or drum line. The practices though, can be grueling at some points, especially when getting close to UIL Area and what not; but there is an overall nice atmosphere with the other students.
Glad to say 8 years later we still have a very chill and welcoming band culture (current snareline member) @Cmmf_
